Abstract: A device for treating human keratin materials that delivers a cosmetic or dermatological composition onto the latter together with the application of an electric current, in particular an electrophoresis device, the composition applied being contained in a cartridge carried by the device, the cartridge having a body that forms a reservoir and a piston through which a drive screw passes and which can move in the body under the effect of the relative rotation of the screw and the piston, the device comprising an electric drive motor for bringing about this relative rotation of the screw and of the piston, and an electronic circuit for controlling the electric motor.

Abstract: A dispenser includes a deformable roller and a housing having a reservoir for containing a product, such as a cosmetic product or a medicinal product. The deformable roller comprises a napped roller over molded to, and encasing, a roller pin. Both the napped roller and the roller pin may be formed of materials that are suitable for an injection over-mold manufacturing process. The deformable roller disposed configured for applying product to a body and for deforming and tangentially mating and/or un-mating with an orifice of a reservoir of the housing for sealing and/or un-sealing the reservoir.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a fluid comprises a housing and a resilient liner adapted to hold the fluid disposed in the housing. A fluid transfer mechanism is in fluid communication between the liner and an applicator assembly mounted on the housing for dispensing the fluid on the skin of the user. The applicator assembly includes an actuator movable relative to the housing so as to activate the fluid transfer mechanism when the actuator is reciprocated. A fluid delivery element is held in contact against skin of a user for applying the fluid onto the skin. The fluid delivery element is supported on the actuator to be movable together with the actuator by varying contact pressure with the skin. Each movement of the actuator generates continuous negative pressure within the liner for drawing fluid through the fluid transfer mechanism and collapsing the liner.

A canister is removably mounted in the cavity and a nozzle is fluidly coupled to the canister and extends outwardly of the first end. The nozzle is directed toward the roller. The canister is filled with a fluid under pressure. The canister includes a valve that is actuated to release the fluid into the nozzle to coat the roller with the fluid.

Abstract: Applicators for fluids such as paints utilizing a roller are known and more recently utilization of an incrementally displaceable piston in order to force fluid flow to a roller has been disclosed. In order to ensure appropriate presentation of the fluid, that is to say paint, to the roller an appropriate gap between the roller and the housing is required. By position of a cam and/or flap control of a housing to roller gap is achieved.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to wearable sanitizing gel dispensers. An embodiment of a dispenser includes an outer gel container adapted to house gel therein, or alternatively an inner gel container to house gel and outer gel container housing adapted to house the inner gel container. Connected to the outer gel housing is a dispenser body housing an ellipsoidal roller adapted to dispense gel to hands of healthcare personnel when actuated by a selective hand motion. The dispenser can also include a flexible fabric housing positioned to house the inner gel container and adapted so that the outer surfaces of the flexible fabric housing are made out of an antibacterial fabric to receive gel residue from hand of healthcare personnel when applied thereto. Embodiments of methods of actuating and using a wearable sanitizing gel dispenser and embodiments of kits for wearable sanitizing gel also are included.

The fluid supply line communicates with the fluid supply tube and an associated paint source. The handle bar is adapted to attach to an associated handle for maneuvering the assembly.

The roller is configured within a head such that paint is appropriately distributed with limited leakage in order to allow easy operation for distributing paint upon a surface. The pressurized container includes a longitudinal axis and is provided with a refrigerant product dispensing element with a product coating surface. The device also includes cooling means with at least one refrigerant product vaporization conduit connected in fluid communication with the refrigerant product dispensing element. The device further includes an applicator coating element disposed adjacent to the vaporization conduit so as to exchange heat with the vaporization conduit while the refrigerant product is dispensed from the dispensing element into the vaporization conduit. The applicator coating element typically includes a surface complimentary to an applicator so that the applicator may be coated with product.

Abstract: A lotion roller includes a handle assembly and a roller assembly. The handle assembly has a handle with a hollow interior forming a reservoir for receipt of lotion. A threaded shaft passes into the handle reservoir and has a plunger mounted thereon. Rotation of the shaft and movement of the plunger dispenses lotion from the reservoir into a fixed, integral inner perforated tube. The roller assembly has an outer perforated tube that is mounted on and for rotation about the inner perforated tube. A foam roller is glued to the outer perforated tube. The handle of the lotion roller may include a window for viewing the contents of the reservoir. The roller assembly may be stored in a one-piece clam-shell cover that folds over on itself and snaps shut. The lotion roller may have finger grips and a lanyard, have raised ribs, tapered for a better grip and covered with a thin silicone or rubber over-mold.

Abstract: A lotion applicator which provides total, even coverage of the back of the user and does not require manual dexterity or stretching, consisting of a door mount, rotor, rotor guide, and one or more pads. The door mount is attached to a vertical surface, preferably a door, but the device can also be mounted to a wall. The user stands with her back against the device and, raising her arms to about shoulder level, grabs a handle attached to the rotor guide and pushes up, thus lifting the rotor guide. The rotor travels with the guide, whereupon one or more pads, which are impregnated with lotion and attached to the rotor in an off-center position, spin along the back of the user, spreading lotion.

Abstract: A touch up system for applying small quantities of single or multi-component liquids to small surface areas. Each material or component is packaged, in the correct proportion, in a fluorinated plastic bottle. A dense foam roller is attached to the base component bottle. One of the other bottles utilize a spout tip cap to puncture an inductive barrier seal that is present on the opening of the base component bottle. Exposure to all coating components is eliminated and waste is minimized since material remaining in the bottle is minimal and can be disposed of by conventional methods. An angled roller wiper surface and an angled liquid output surface are provided.

Abstract: A paint roller having multiple reservoirs for holding paint is disclosed. The paint roller includes at least two paint storage reservoirs for storing paint; openings from the reservoirs to an outer surface; and a cylindrical sponge mounted around the outer surface to absorb paint from the paint storage reservoirs and/or an outside source. A handle can be attached to the paint roller, and additional refill reservoirs can be incorporated into the handle to refill the reservoirs within the roller, with integrated valves to regulate the flow of paint. A method of painting with at least three colors using the claimed paint roller is also disclosed, wherein paint is distributed onto the cylindrical sponge simultaneously from the paint storage reservoirs and an outside source.

One embodiment of the apparatus comprises a liquid roller comprising a roller member comprising a cylindrical body having a first side, a second side, an outer application surface and an inside surface. The inside surface comprises a continuous groove extending about the inside circumference. A follower rides in the groove, with one end of a piston arm is connected to the follower and another end of the connected to a piston enclosed within a cylinder. A liquid supply means is hydraulically connected to the cylinder by liquid conducing means. An axle extends axially through the center of the roller member. Liquid dispersion means disperse the liquid from the cylinder to the outer application surface as the roller member is rotated about the axle. A handle member is attached to the axle.

Abstract: A roller-type liquid applicator which has a roller, roller support and a reservoir. Liquid is added to the reservoir and is dispensed through an opening onto the roller. The roller is held in place adjacent to the opening by the roller support which allows the roller to freely rotate. A chamber is formed between the external surface of the opening and the inner surface of the roller support. The chamber serves the purpose of collecting excess liquid which is not transferred from the roller onto the application surface, and which could otherwise collect in and around the opening, eventually drying and preventing the proper functioning of the applicator.

An element (10) is axially mobile relative to the pivot pin (7) for simultaneously exerting a force on the rectangular opening (4) edge forming the slot and on the roller (5) surface, for deforming them jointly.

To permit engagement and disengagement between the support and the core, an elastic member is mounted within a coating flowing hole of the core, while an inserting groove and a stopping groove are provided in the inner peripheral surface of the coating flowing hole of the core. To automatically stop and start the supply of coating to the coating roller, and to adjust the flow rate, the number of revolutions of the roller are detected and used to actuate the coating feed mechanism to supply coating at a flow rate corresponding to the number of revolutions and or direction of rotation of the roller.

Abstract: A device for applying a liquid product, in particular paint, includes an applicator with at least one roller, a supply unit with a variable speed, volumetric pump, and a duct connecting the pump to the applicator. The pump is connected to a control unit. A detector detects a speed of the roller and provides a control signal corresponding to the speed to the control unit. The control unit includes a regulator for setting a linear relationship between the speed of the pump and the speed of the roller. The control unit controls the liquid product flow rate supplied by the pump based upon the control signal and the linear relationship set by the regulator.

Abstract: An apparatus and method to enable investigators of medical and insurance fraud to quickly and reliably determine whether a plurality of signatures affixed to a series of documents were made with the same pen and/or at the same time. According to a first embodiment, a series of indentations are formed around the periphery of the rim at the forward end of a conventional ballpoint pen. The indentations produce radially inward extending projections which are aligned with the rolling ball of the pen to induce scratches or micro-striations in the ink lines applied to the paper from the ball. By analyzing the scratch patterns of different signatures applied by the same maker to different documents, an indication can be provided whether the signatures were all made with the same pen.

The device comprises an elongate tubular housing for housing a crayon, a transfer wheel, and a number of gears for rotating the crayon with respect to the wheel. The transfer wheel rotates about an axle riding on forks extending from the housing. An inner sleeve is located in the housing and contains the crayon. Gears located on the axle, fork, and sleeve rotate the sleeve when the wheel is driven along a surface. Rotation of the sleeve rotates the crayon, causing the transfer wheel to remove crayon material uniformly from the end of the crayon. Spring loaded offset locking rods press the crayon into engagement with the wheel and lock it in the sleeve.

The lowermost extent of the lower region includes a coupling device for attachment thereto. The uppermost extent of the upper region includes a coupling device for attachment thereto. The lowermost extent of the lower region is formed in an L-shaped configuration. A coupling screw is adapted to couple the upper extension arm to the lower extension arm at their respective coupling devices. An open cell foam sponge is shaped in a generally planar, oval configuration with an upper surface and a lower surface. The sponge includes a middle section with a small thickness and rounded ends with a large thickness. A sponge coupling mechanism joins the lowermost extent of the lower extension arm to the upper surface of the sponge.
