Abstract: The present invention is directed generally to building tools that are high quality, durable, and in some case lightweight. For example, a mastic flat box may made by forming multiple sections into a single integrated piece by, for example, an extrusion process so as to reduce manufacturing cost and increase the structural durability of the tool. The mastic flat box may be made in such a way as to allow for easier assembly, operation, and cleaning. Further, mastic flat box may be made, at least in part, using a material including magnesium to reduce the weight of the tool. Still further, mastic flat box may be made using one or more protective coatings for protecting various metals against corrosion, for example, using a high impact coating such as paint covered with a clear coat of lacquer.

Abstract: The invention relates to means and methods for the disinfection of an insertion channel to prevent in particular catheter sepsis, which significantly reduces the carry-over of germs even out of deeper skin layers by means of medical instruments, such as catheters, to be introduced into non-natural openings and also permits the decontamination of perioperatively contaminated medical instruments. The disinfection of the insertion channel is achieved by means of a method for the perioperative coating of a medical instrument to be inserted into an invasively produced bodily opening before use, comprising the application of a preferably viscous or foam-like composition containing at least one anti-infective compound, preferably a gel having octenidine, by means of an applicator, such that when said gel is used, the composition is also specifically effective in the first millimeters of the insertion channel. Furthermore, an immediate disinfecting action is provided over the entire coated surface.

The base projects within the tip, and is proportioned to interfere with the inside wall of the tip around a narrow, continuous path, thereby providing an internal seal with the interior wall surface of a pouch to which the nozzle is coupled to prevent the back-flow of material through the screw means. Preferably, the nozzle also provides a seal on the external wall surface of the pouch, thereby reducing the possibility of material leaking both from and into the pouch. Gripping ribs are provided to facilitate the application of a manual force to couple and decouple the nozzle parts.

The apparatus includes a plurality of absorbent sheets in close proximity to each other within a container, and a wood finishing composition being evenly permeated throughout the plurality of absorbent sheets. The wood finishing composition may be one of stain, colored finish, clear coat, and/or wood sealant and may further include an extender chemical. The method includes preparing wood finishing sheets, by placing a plurality of absorbent sheets in close proximity to each other in a container, adding a wood finishing composition to the plurality of absorbent sheets, enclosing within the container the sheets and the wood finishing composition using a sealing mechanism, and allowing time for the wood finishing composition to permeate the sheets.

Most preferably a detersive mixture is melt-anchored to the pad. In one form, the pad is a two layer pad, and in another form, the pad is a three layer pad.

Moreover, an elongated squeegee is fastened to the manifold. The squeegee has an edge configured to spread the mixed materials during use. The distribution tube and the squeegee edge are aligned along substantially parallel axes and held in fixed relationship to each other by the manifold.

The tool can be especially useful with stone or porous tile surfaces.
