Abstract: A cosmetic applicator capable of being extended and retracted may comprise a shaft having a twofold structure in which there are an outer cylinder having an inner surface on which a projection is provided and an inner cylinder having an outer surface on which a guide groove that guidingly engages with the projection is provided. The guide groove may have two transverse grooves that extend in a circumferential direction and a second longitudinal groove that extends in an axial direction connecting the two transverse grooves. The guide groove may also have a first longitudinal groove that is provided at a location different in the circumferential direction from that of the second longitudinal groove and that extends in an axial direction, from that transverse groove which of the two transverse grooves is nearer a tip having an applying portion, to the tip, for easy removable attachment of the outer cylinder.

Abstract: A device operable to apply coloring dye to hair while coordinating parting of the hair can include a reservoir sized and shaped to receive a coloring compound, a dispenser head in fluid communication with the reservoir, the dispenser head operable to dispense the coloring compound, and a parting comb attachment removably coupled to the reservoir. Related methods of use are also provided.

Abstract: A disposable dual-ended aesthetic device—the “SkinSweep Wand”, features an exfoliating bristle brush, which may be treated with Baobab oil, which is ergonomically designed to gently exfoliate the dermis of the face and neck. An applicator head is provided for dispensing a nourishing topical liquid/serum specially formulated to nourish and reinvigorate the freshly-exfoliated skin. The device further comprises a unitary body, ergonomically designed for ease of use and comfort, which incorporates a vial section comprising a void dimensioned to contain a unit dose of the nourishing topical liquid/serum. The multi-functioned device is comprised of lightweight but rigid materials (e.g. plastic) that allow an individual to efficiently use the device to exfoliate, nourish and invigorate the dermis of their face and neck. Upon completion of the exfoliation and application of the liquid/serum the device is rendered readily disposable.

Abstract: An example dry eraser and associated systems and methods are described. The example dry eraser includes a body including a top wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall, and first and second side walls. The body includes a first hollow inner compartment configured and dimensioned to receive therein a cleaning fluid that is configured to be dispensed from the first hollow inner compartment via a nozzle disposed proximate to the front or rear wall of the body. The dry eraser includes an erasure material disposed on at least a portion of the bottom wall of the body.

Abstract: A toothbrush includes a handle, a head at a distal end of the handle comprising a bristle plate, a hole extending through the bristle plate, a plurality of bristles at least partially disposed in the hole and extending from the hole in a direction away from the head, and a reservoir in fluid communication with the hole. Fluid in the reservoir enters the tuft holes and is wicked out of the head of the toothbrushes by capillaries formed between the bristles.

Abstract: A multi-purpose tool for cleaning automobile windshields and windows comprising a telescoping body having a first and a second end, an ice scraper and a snow brush member attached to the telescoping body at the first end, a scrubbing member and a squeegee attached to the body at the second end, a detachable flashlight and a spray unit with a detachable spray bottle removably attached to the telescoping body, wherein the telescoping body extends intermediate the first end and the second end.

Abstract: An oral care system and method comprising an oral care implement such as a toothbrush having a plurality of tooth engaging elements and a cavity adapted to detachably house a dispenser containing an oral care agent. In one embodiment, the dispenser may be configured as a dispensing pen having an applicator on one end. A user may dismount the dispenser from the toothbrush, apply the agent to the oral surface, and re-mount the dispenser in the toothbrush for storage.

Abstract: Dentifrice dispensing electrical toothbrush comprising a driver-pump head with a dispensing platform, a replaceable brush unit and a handle having a battery and a cartridge containing dentifrice material. The replaceable brush unit includes a oscillatory brush element and a brush element having a circular or an elongated spout opening as well as a snap-on mounting bracket for fastening to the driver-pump head. The dispensing platform contains a flow channel and a self-sealing spout to prevent drying of the dentifrice material at the spout. The self-sealing spout opens and closes automatically during a pumping action. The brush element with a spout opening is detachably mounted over the spout fixed on the dispensing platform to allow for brush oscillation around the spout and receive the dentifrice material dispensed from the flow channel. Different drive mechanisms are used to impart rotary, lateral or longitudinal oscillation on a brush element in a brush unit.

The device also has a replaceable, on-board supply of cleanser. The pad/cleanser may be replaced when depleted and replaced with a new pad/cleanser or may simply be replaced with a new pad/cleanser when that pad/cleanser is more suitable for a particular cleaning task.

Abstract: An oral care implement includes a head and a plurality of cleaning elements for enhanced cleaning of the teeth and soft tissue of the oral cavity. Abstract: An apparatus to aid in the removal of ice buildup from motor vehicle windshields includes an ice scraper with an integral sprayer for dispensing de-icing solution. The handle of the ice scraper contains a reservoir filled with de-icing solution with a spray pump trigger, or battery-powered spraying system, for spraying fluid upon the windshield to aid in the de-icing process. A screw cap, located on the handle, is used to refill the invention when the reservoir is depleted. A detachable snow brush is also provided. The apparatus allows drivers in cold weather climates the ability to efficiently remove ice buildup from their vehicle windshield.

Abstract: A hand held cleaning apparatus for cleaning carpets and other surfaces comprises a housing and a solution reservoir mounted to the housing for storing and dispensing a cleaning composition onto the surface to be cleaned. A cap is removably secured to the bottle neck at a closure end of the cap, the cap having a comb end extending from the closure end to a top end of the cap and defining a comb slot therebetween. An applicator is mounted to the closure end of the cap and extends through the bottle opening when the cap is secured on the bottle neck. A comb has teeth sized for combing eyelashes, and the comb pivotally mounted to the comb end of the cap for pivotal movement between a closed position with the teeth stored in the comb slot and an open position with the teeth deployed for combing action. The comb is removably retained in the comb slot by snap engagement and is provided with an extending grip for manipulating the comb.

Abstract: A portable double-brush shoe polishing device includes a polish body, and an assembly comprising a press button and a polishing storage tube. The polish body is designed to facilitate holding by the human hand, and it comprises an annular outer brush at a bottom side thereof. The press button is held in the polish body in a resilient condition. The press button has a positioning rib and a curved flange formed thereon to achieve positioning. An inner brush is disposed beneath the press button and the polish oil storage tube. In use, the outer brush is used to preliminarily clean and wipe the shoe surface, and the press button is pressed to allow penetration of a suitable amount of polish oil into the inner brush which may then polish the shoe surface with an even distribution of the polish oil.

Abstract: A combined shoe brush and liquid container that has an atomizer head attached. The shoe brush has a conforming opening on one end to allow the engagement of a like conforming liquid container. The container is held in place with two spring devices which allow the container to be manually inserted into opening, and reversely allows the container to be manually extracted to facilitate refilling or replacing the container with a new like container. One end of the shoe brush has a cut away area which allows only the atomizer head to protrude outside of the shoe brush base. This allows the user to operate the atomizer in a push down manner with a convenient finger. The container holds for application, water or shoe polishing liquid to be sprayed through atomizer onto shoe surface, then brushed to produce a shine.

Abstract: A cleansing and stimulating brush that doubles as a backscratcher having sufficiently firm construction means approximating the function of human nails for scratching and stimulating one's skin, combined with brush means comprising slender stalklike projections for stimulating and cleansing the skin, and including interspersing smooth protuberance means approximating the soft pads of one's finger tips for pleasant touch sensations. This device further includes a soap applicator means to which soap can be applied for further application to the skin. The device can be adapted to contain and dispense liquid soap.

Abstract: An adjustable double-purpose tool that is intended for use as an attachment for a standard pool pole. The tool includes a straight handle with a spring-lock for securing it to one end of the pole and a double-faced head for holding a chlorine cake on one side and a scrubbing pad on the other side. The head is pivotally attached to the handle and its orientation can be adjusted at fixed intervals by a key-sprocket mechanism. The mechanism is especially designed so that the key can be actuated from a distance, thus making it possible to adjust the tool without retrieving it from the water.

Abstract: An apparatus wherein an elongate cylindrical housing mounts a first and second cylindrical cap respectively at opposed terminal ends of the housing. The housing includes as matrix of wire brushes orthogonally mounted to each end of the housing, with a first end including a projection for positioning within a side mount terminal battery, with the second end providing a cylindrical cavity for receiving a terminal for securement to the associated side mount battery. A modification of the invention includes a central reservoir receiving a cleaning solution that is selectively directed through each terminal end of the housing for enhanced cleaning of the associated battery and connector.

Abstract: A handbrush and method for the manufacture thereof, are disclosed. The handbrush comprises a head having a plurality of bristles thereon and handle extending from the head, the head, the bristles and the handle all being integrally moulded from a polymeric compound such as rubber. A rigid strengthening member may be embedded in the head and the handle and may be bent to impart a desired shape to the brush, e.g. for maintaining the handle at a desired angle to the head. The brush may be provided with a substantially longitudinally extending scraper blade which may also be integrally moulded with the head, the bristles and the handle. In addition, a groove may be provided in the head of the handbrush for receiving and holding an edge of a steel blade for removing ice from the windscreens of motor vehicles or the like.

Abstract: A multisection flexible multidigit arm contains hands at each end, each of which hands contains a set of fingers, suitably three, which are similarly formed flexible multidigit arms constructed to a smaller scale. Radio communication means are provided to allow electronic interaction with the arm from a remote location.

Abstract: A cleaning tool or instrument designed generally to clean carpets and like surfaces and more specifically designed to remove spots, stains, etc. therefrom. A first agitating rake-like head is attached to an elongated base and extends outwardly into an operative position from one side of the base. A second liquid absorbing or blotting structure is secured to the base at the corresponding end as the agitating member but extending outwardly from a different side thereof wherein the base, through manipulation of the handle means, is positionable so as to apply either the agitating structure or the blotting structure to the carpet for purposes of respectively working the surface in an agitating manner and blotting or at least partially absorbing absorbing any cleaning fluid applied to the carpet for purposes of removing the spot or stain.

Abstract: An integrated soap bar and brush. The brush constitutes one side of the integrated assembly while the bar of soap is supported on a top side of the brush to provide a reversible soap bar or brush. The soap bar is molded in situ around a specially constructed ribbed insert having a floor plate or base which can be readily affixed to the top side of the brush. The ribbed insert supports the soap bar during shrinkage to prevent removal until substantially used up. After such use-up, the insert may be used as a handle or it may be removed and the brush may be used alone.

Abstract: Apparatus for applying cosmetic preparations in liquid or paste form comprising a cylindrical casing provided with a slidable piston which divides the casing into first and second chambers which are sealed relative to one another. The first chamber contains a mixing member which by an operating stem guided sealingly to the outside through the piston and the second chamber, can be reciprocated inside the first chamber. This first chamber may be filled with a cosmetic preparation to be emptied by controllable amounts by an applicator detachably fastened to the casing. A tubular casing extension is inserted into the free end of the second chamber and contains a compression spring for pre-stressing the piston. The casing extension is telescopically movable into and out of the second chamber. At the free end of the casing extension a locking mechanism is provided by which the casing extension, when fully inserted into the casing, can be detachably locked to the casing.

Abstract: A toothbrush assembly combining a toothbrush handle, a brush assembly releasably engageable with a head end of the handle, and an oral hygiene device releasably engageable with the tail end of the handle. The head end of the handle has a recess formed therein designed to provide a snap fit with a base of the brush assembly. The tail end of the handle is shaped to provide releasable engagement with a base of the oral hygiene device. The oral hygiene device can take numerous forms. For instance, the oral hygiene device can be used to apply an oral hygiene agent, such as a disclosing agent or a gum treating agent, or a herbal combination usable in oral hygiene, or a refreshing agent. Alternatively, the oral hygiene device can take the form of a stimulator.

Abstract: A toothbrush assembly having a handle, a brush assembly releaseably interconnected with one end of the handle, and a massaging device connected with a second end of the handle. The brush assembly has a cylindrical base shaped to be received in a recess in the end of the handle and has an array of bristles arranged to provide a concave brushing surface. The massaging device includes a carrier having a container of liquid positioned in an internal cavity of the carrier. The container is positioned so as to be broken and dispense its contents when an end of a toothbrush is inserted into the carrier. A porous, absorbent material forms an outer surface of the device and absorbs the liquid for application to the gums of a user.

Abstract: Lightweight, simple rug cleaner for residential use which uses a powdered cleaning composition for the cleaning of carpets. The cleaning composition comes in a throw-away, disposable container which is inserted into the rug cleaner for use.

Abstract: A hair grooming device includes a brush head surrounded by a rotatable cover member having a lateral opening through which bristles on the brush head are exposable. A handle for the brush head includes a reservoir for a liquid treating agent and communicates through a passage in the brush head with small dispensing holes spaced among the bristles. The cover member is rotatable between a bristle exposed position in which the bristles are exposed through the lateral opening, and a bristle storage position in which the bristles are concealed within the cover member. The cover member has comb teeth thereon adjacent the lateral opening, and seals are provided between the brush head and cover member to prevent leakage of treating agent from the bristles in the bristle storage position of the cover member.
