Abstract: The washing of domestic animals, particularly pets, is facilitated by the brush of the present invention which has reservoirs for animal grooming aids such as soap and cream rinse and a hose connected water supply for applying and removing the grooming aids. The reservoirs are maintained under positive pressure by connection to a back pressure chamber in the head of the brush, finger control valves introduce the grooming aids into a mixing chamber and the mixing chamber is also connected to the back pressure chamber. Vortex generators in the mixing chamber mix together the incoming water and the grooming aids and expel the mixture through holes in the brush at the base of the bristles.

  • Patent number: 3989390
Abstract: The main disclosure herein relates to a manually-operated washing device, particularly but not necessarily for automotive vehicles, which includes an attachable portion that can be quickly clamped to the wand of a coin-operated car-wash unit for enabling a car-owner to wash his car manually in a unique procedure in less than ten minutes with all dirt removed and the least scratching of any wash. The car-wash device includes novel clamping mechanism and other means to enable quick attachment of the attachable portion to the wand while accommodating almost all shapes thereof now in service. A separate garden-hose wand can be included in the device, so the attachable portion can be clamped thereto for performing the fast but excellent car-wash at home (at no cost) exactly as at the coin-wash.
