  • Patent number: 9132761
Abstract: Disclosed is a vehicle seat that is capable of changing a property of S springs with a simple configuration and therefore improves a seating property by changing the property of the S spring in response to a physique of a passenger. In regard to a vehicle seat 1 in which S springs 6 are stretched in a seat cushion frame that supports a seat cushion on which the passenger sits, a restriction member 13 that is detachably attached to each of the S springs 6 and partially restricts an extensional deformation of the S springs 6 is provided. The restriction member 13 includes a pair of wire hook portions 15 and 16 that is hooked on a horizontal portion 8 and a back-end horizontal portion 12 of the S spring 6, and a long wire portion 14 that connects the pair of wire hook portions 15 and 16.

Abstract: A connecting system for connecting first and second mesh sheets each defining a plurality of longitudinal members at least one pin housing, a first pin member, and a second pin member. A first loop portion is formed on at least one of the plurality of longitudinal members of the first mesh sheet. A second loop portion is formed on at least one of the plurality of longitudinal members of the second mesh sheet. At least one pin housing defines a loop passageway, and the first and second loop portions extend in opposite directions through the loop passageway. The first pin member is arranged between the first loop portion and the at least one pin housing. The second pin member is arranged between the second loop portion and the at least one pin housing. Loads that displace the first and second mesh sheets away from each other are transferred between the mesh sheets by the pin housing and the first and second pin members.

  • Patent number: 7503719
Abstract: A connecting system for connecting a mesh sheet to a concrete member. The connecting system comprises an anchor structure and a first pin member. The anchor structure defines a loop passageway and a pin opening. The anchor structure is adapted to be partly embedded within the concrete member. A mesh loop portion is formed on the mesh sheet. The mesh loop portion extends into the loop passageway. To connect the mesh sheet to the concrete member, the first pin member extends along the pin opening and through the mesh loop portion of the mesh sheet. Force applied to the concrete member away from the mesh sheet causes the first pin member to engage the anchor structure and the mesh loop portion to inhibit movement between the mesh sheet and the concrete member.

  • Patent number: 6793436
Abstract: A connecting system for connecting a first mesh sheet to a member comprising a housing member, a first loop portion, and a first pin member. The housing member defines a loop passageway, and the housing member is adapted to be rigidly connected to the member. The first loop portion is formed on the first mesh sheet and extends into the loop passageway. The first pin member extends through the first loop portion of the first mesh sheet such that a force applied to the first mesh sheet away from the housing member causes the first pin member to engage the housing member and the loop portion to inhibit movement between the first mesh sheet and the member. In one preferred embodiment, the member is a concrete panel. In another preferred embodiment, the member is a second mesh sheet.

Abstract: An apparatus for fastening an end of a spring steel strip subjected to high tension. The end of the spring steel strip is clamped positively between two flat surfaces of two retainers in different positions, ensuring absolute security against loosening. For this purpose, the strip end is placed positively in an insert that is freely displaceable between the retainers and is clamped together with this insert between the retainers. The insert has transverse blades on its side facing away from the strip end, with which blades it engages the adjoining retainer positively, and thus in a displacement-proof manner, in the clamped state.

  • Patent number: 5310274
Abstract: A lock structure for a flexible line in which one looped end and a contiguous intermediate section of the line are fitted in approximately V-shaped grooves formed in a pair of approximately trapezoidal lock halves. The lock halves are of synthetic resin and have sharp pointed projections formed within the grooves for securing the line therein. The lock members are aligned with one another by an arrangement of engaging projections formed on a first one of the lock halves which engage with a corresponding arrangement of receiving holes formed in the second one of the lock halves. The lock halves are securely joined to one another by welding so that the flexible line can be firmly maintained in the welded lock structure for a prolonged period of time without loosening.

  • Patent number: 5161322
Abstract: A net web is supported by upper and lower float and weight lines by a connecting structure which is connected to the respective line to resist movement along the line. Each connecting structure has an outer portion with a locking opening therein and cooperates with a cord loop. An inner loop end portion of the cord loop cooperates with the line and the connecting structure to resist movement along the line. An outer loop end portion passes through the selvage of the fish net web and cooperates with an adjacent connecting structure and its associated loop. The cord loop of one connecting structure passes through the locking opening in an adjacent connecting structure, and a cord loop of the said adjacent connecting structure passes through the cord loop of the said one structure to interfere therewith to prevent separation of the cord loop of the said one structure from the adjacent connecting structure.

Abstract: A pre-fabricated welded tubular coupling particularly adapted for use in the construction of offshore platforms comprises a tubular elbow tangentially secured to a straight pipe segment solely along the line of intersection therebetween. A cutout or opening in the backwall of the elbow is configured to complementally receive a portion of the periphery of the pipe to enhance the integrity of the interconnection between the latter and the elbow. The opening has a marginal edge which defines a continuous line of contact with the pipe for welding of the components to form a unitary coupling. In preferred forms, the elbow presents a 90.degree. arc and is arranged such that each leg forms approximately a 45.degree. angle with the pipe. In another embodiment, the elbow extends through 135.degree. and is attached to the pipe in a manner to form approximately 90.degree. and 45.degree. angles between the respective legs and the pipe.

  • Patent number: 4062087
Abstract: A metallic clip designed for holding the end bar of a sinuous cushion-supporting spring in position on one rail of an article of furniture and also having associated therewith jaw portions which straddle the rail and, when pressed inwardly against the rail, seize the sides of such rail and maintain the clip firmly in position on the rail. In one form of the invention, a string of such clips are held together in slightly spaced side-by-side fashion by a liner strip which is seated within the reentrant or reverse bends of the clips so that individual clips may be successively severed from the strip for application to the rail. In a modified form of the clip, means are provided whereby the clips may be stacked together loosely against complete separation so that individual clips may be successively removed from the stack at will for rail application.
