Abstract: A cable termination and method of terminating a median barrier cable is described. In one form, the cable termination comprises a tubular body with an opening into which an end of the median barrier cable is inserted. A wedge gripper includes three sections for gripping the end of the median barrier cable within the tubular body. The wedge gripper has a tapering outer surface that mates with a tapered inner surface of the tubular body and has a toothed inner diameter. A threaded cap is screwed to an end of the tubular body opposite from the cable opening, such that the threaded cap forces the tapering outer surface of the wedge gripper axially against the tapered inner surface of the tubular body to force the toothed inner diameter of the wedge gripper to contract against three lobes of the median barrier cable to grip the median barrier cable.

Abstract: A turnlock fastener (1) for the connection of two components features a cover plate (4) and a base shaft (5) which is formed on the cover plate (4) and which extends away from the cover plate (4), at which at least two opposing rigid locking stands (10, 11) are positioned at a distance from the cover plate (4) and extend outward from the base shaft (5) in the radial direction. In addition, a fixing arrangement is provided to secure the turnlock fastener (1) to a first component which possesses at least two radial elastic spring limbs (14, 15) which are each arranged between two locking stands (10, 11) and which are connected at one end with the base shaft (5) and which extend away from the base shaft (5) with the other free end in the direction of the cover plate (4). Abstract: A safety guard 10 has a guard body 12 shaped such that it will fit over the yoke 18 of a power take off shaft. The yoke 18 includes a groove 24 formed in an outer surface near the end 22. Safety guard bearing 26 is mounted to groove 24. Safety guard bearing 26 also has a groove 28 formed in an outer surface. Two levers 30 are pivotally mounted to the safety guard body 12 by pivot pins that extend through apertures 36 in the levers 30. One end of levers 30 has a camming member that includes a lobe 38. Due to the relative position of the pivot aperture 36 and the lobe 38, the lobe 38 acts as an over center cam. When lever 30 is in the locked position, lobe 38 extends into groove 28. Lever 30 also includes a locking tongue 46. When the lever 30 is moved to the locking position, locking tongue 46 also extends into groove 28 on safety guard bearing 26. Thus, locking tongue 46 provides a secondary locking mechanism to assist in maintaining the safety guard 10 on the safety guard bearing 26.
