Two Rods Encompassed By Single Connector Patents (Class 403/396)
  • Patent number: 4136983
Abstract: A walk-behind rotary tiller includes a vertically adjustable drag stake releasably held in a selected position through means of a lock member having the form of a ring segment and mounted such that it may be pivoted upwardly and displaced forwardly to release the drag stake for vertical adjustment to another desired position and then displaced rearwardly and rotated downwardly to retain the drag stake in its new position.

  • Patent number: 4129393
Abstract: A pair of scaffold lumber clamps are provided. A first of the clamps includes a pair of elongated generally parallel strap members with adjustable clamp structure connected between corresponding ends thereof for drawing the strap members toward each other for clamping lumber pieces therebetween. The opposing sides of the strap members include pointed projections projecting outwardly therefrom. The second clamp structure includes an angle member having a pair of elongated upstanding and generally right angularly disposed integral flanges. The angle member may embracingly engage a corner of an upright piece of lumber and an elongated bar member generally parallels the outer side of a first flange of the angle member and first clamp structure is connected between that flange and the bar for drawing the bar toward the flange.

  • Patent number: 4102587
Abstract: An angle-shaped support member consists of a unitary element formed into a pair of legs extending normally to one another and interconnected at their adjacent ends by an outwardly extending rectangularly shaped box section. The opposite ends of the legs from the box section each have an outwardly directed flange. The flanges and walls of the box section have axially aligned openings through which bars can be fitted. The openings in the flanges and walls are offset laterally relative to one another to avoid any interference between the bars which extend through them.

  • Patent number: 4097169
Abstract: A clamp arrangement particularly for plastic sheets and including a pair of jaw plates having opposed jaws with clamping means for drawing the plates towards each other to cause the jaws to grip a rod around which a portion of a sheet has been wrapped to hold the sheet in the clamp arrangement. The space between the jaws has substantially the same cross sectional shape as the rod, and the jaw plates include means for receiving rope-like securing means for anchoring the plates and the gripped sheet to a base.

  • Patent number: 4036460
Abstract: For dependently supporting an object, such as from a ceiling or overhead support, a pair of elongated support elements are locked into a clamp strap. An upper one of the support elements extends upwardly from the clamp strap for attachment to the overhead support while the other support element extends downwardly from the clamp strap with the object to be supported attached to its lower end. The upper and lower support elements are co-extensive for a portion of their lengths. The co-extensive portions of the support elements are contiguous to one another. The clamp strap has a pair of legs with at least one slot in each leg extending in the direction of the leg. The co-extensive portions of the support elements pass through and are held within the slots in the clamp strap. The slots have a shape generally conforming to at least a part of the transverse cross-sectional shape of the support element.

  • Patent number: 4002413
Abstract: An auxiliary implement adapted for use in combination with different makes and models of first implements includes an adjustable mounting for securing the auxiliary implement to different sizes and shapes of frame members in the first implements. The mounting comprises a bracket secured to a support in the auxiliary implement and the bracket includes a forwardly projecting portion engageable with the upper side of the frame member to which the auxiliary implement is to be connected. A side portion of the bracket extends laterally beyond the side of the support and includes a vertically extending hole formed therethrough. Mounted on the bracket forwardly of the hole is a rearwardly extending tongue having a free end portion located adjacent the hole. The forward end portion of a line in the form of a roller chain is connected to the tongue by being telescoped over the tongue and between the links of the chain.
