With Gate Lock Patents (Class 406/149)
  • Patent number: 8104998
Abstract: The hydraulic transportation apparatus and method of the present invention incorporate a multiple chamber framework internally disposed preferably within at least one single shaft structure, which facilitates movement of object transport containers within the multiple chamber framework. Preferably, fluid elevation is employed to elevate and lower object transport containers and their contents within the multiple chamber framework. Each single shaft structure may be constructed from an existing rehabilitated shaft, or a newly drilled shaft. The present invention may be utilized in vertical or incline lifting environments, and an auxiliary hoist chamber may be incorporated into the multiple chamber framework for use as an alternative to, or in conjunction with, elevating objects by employing fluid elevation. The present invention may be employed in a variety of heavy lifting scenarios, including underground mining or in above ground lifting environments.

  • Patent number: 7934889
Abstract: In various embodiments, a method for transporting objects within a multiple chamber framework may include loading objects into a transport container, elevating the container in a delivery chamber and lowering the container in a return chamber. Preferably, fluid elevation is employed to elevate object transport containers and their contents within the delivery chamber. Such methods may be utilized in vertical or incline lifting environments, and an auxiliary chamber may be incorporated into the multiple chamber framework for use as an alternative to, or in conjunction with, elevating objects by employing fluid elevation. The auxiliary chamber may be laterally disposed to the delivery chamber or the return chamber.

  • Patent number: 7220082
Abstract: A pneumatic transport system including a user terminal at a service provider station having a movable member operably connected with a flexible drive member. The drive member moves within at least one side rail to vertically displace the movable member to permit access to a carrier at the user terminal. The user terminal includes control mechanisms on opposite sides of a base to enable two users to operate and access the carrier at the user terminal.

  • Patent number: 4547099
Abstract: The gate comprises a damper /1/ overlapping the cross-section of a pipe-line /2/ and kinematically connected with a movable link /3/ of a drive /4/ turning it about an axle /5/ disposed on the pipe-line /2/, and a driven pin trip /12/ entering a hole made in the pipe-line and meant to hold the damper /1/ in the closed position. Secured on the damper /1/ is a bracket /8/, and in the kinematic chain connecting the damper /1/ with the drive /4/ there is an angular lever /9/ which is mounted so that it can turn through a limited angle and whose axle /10/ of turning is secured on the bracket /8/ parallelly to the axle /5/ of turning of the damper /1/. One arm of the angular lever /9/ is connected to the movable link /3/ of the drive /4/, and the damper /1/ has guides /13/ made thereon and accommodating a pin trip /12/ which is kinematically connected with the other arm of the angular lever /9/.

  • Patent number: 4352603
Abstract: A banking service pneumatic tube system teller terminal having a single conveyor tube. A carrier is transported in the system and is removable from the terminal housing formed of molded plastic material. The housing may be installed for carrier arrival vertically from above or below. The housing has an access opening closed by a cradle-door movable between open and closed positions. The cradle has a cylindrically walled carrier receiving compartment located between cylindrical end portions of the housing when the door is closed. One housing end portion is coupled with an end of the system conveyor tube. A carrier arrival switch is mounted on the cradle actuated by carrier arrival to automatically open the door by release of latch mechanism mounted on the cradle which normally locks the cradle-door in closed position. A carrier is presented in the cradle outside of the housing when the door opens. The cradle-door is manually closed, automatically actuating the latch mechanism to lock the cradle-door closed.
