Coded Carrier Patents (Class 406/37)
  • Patent number: 10913619
Abstract: A pneumatic delivery capsule usable in a pneumatic delivery tube has a tubular side wall extending along and centered on a longitudinal axis, respective capsule heads fixed to respective axially opposite ends of the tubular side wall and dimensioned to slide with the tubular side wall inside the pneumatic delivery tube, and two axially spaced roller bearings each having an outer race fixed to the tubular side wall and an inner race. An insert is fixed to and extends longitudinally between the inner races for receiving an object to be transported. This insert is rotatable on the bearings in the tubular side wall about the longitudinal axis of the tubular side wall with a center of gravity of the insert together with the object to be transported being radially outward of the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 8567355
Abstract: An integrated control system for use with an engine connected to a generator providing electrical power to a switchgear is disclosed. The engine receives gas produced by a gasifier. The control system includes an electronic controller associated with the gasifier, engine, generator, and switchgear. A gas flow sensor monitors a gas flow from the gasifier to the engine through an engine gas control valve and provides a gas flow signal to the electronic controller. A gas oversupply sensor monitors a gas oversupply from the gasifier and provides an oversupply signal indicative of gas not provided to the engine. A power output sensor monitors a power output of the switchgear and provide a power output signal. The electronic controller changes gas production of the gasifier and the power output rating of the switchgear based on the gas flow signal, the oversupply signal, and the power output signal.

  • Patent number: 6276877
Abstract: A new display carrier container for displaying a message, such as an advertisement. The inventive device includes a generally transparent tubular body having inner and outer surfaces and a pair of opposite ends. The inner surface of the body defines a lumen. Each end of the body has a opening into the lumen of the body. A pair of end caps are coupled to the ends of the body such that they close the openings of the ends of the body. One of the ends of the body has a slot therein. The slot is located between the inner and outer surfaces of the body and extends from the one end towards the other of the ends of the body. The slot is adapted for receiving a sheet therein.

  • Patent number: 6146057
Abstract: A pneumatic transfer apparatus (10) includes a service provider terminal (22) and a customer terminal (24). A carrier (32) is moved through a transfer conduit (26) between the customer and service provider terminals by a differential pressure generating mechanism (28, 30). Each of the customer and service provider terminals includes an actuator mechanism (54, 82). The actuator mechanism is operative to orient an opening in the housing of the carrier with a transfer opening in the transfer conduit. The actuator mechanism is further operative to move an inner shell (100) relative to an outer shell (96) of the carrier so as to bring openings in said inner and outer shells into alignment which enables accessing the interior area of the carrier.

  • Patent number: 5669740
Abstract: A bark mulch handling and spreading apparatus includes a platform adapted to be mounted on a mobile chassis, a receiving and conveying unit mounted on the platform having a hopper for receiving bark mulch and an auger along the bottom of the hopper for conveying the bark mulch to an outlet port of the unit, a blower mechanism mounted on the platform adjacent to the receiving and conveying unit for generating a flow of air past the outlet port of the receiving and conveying unit so as to entrain the discharging bark mulch in the flow of air, a spreading mechanism mounted on the platform adjacent to the receiving and conveying unit and adapted to receive the flow of air with entrained bark mulch from the outlet port of the receiving and conveying unit and to distribute the air flow entrained bark mulch to a selected discharge location, and a drive arrangement mounted on the platform for driving the auger of the receiving and conveying unit, the blower mechanism and a plurality of agitating members in the hopper

  • Patent number: 5192170
Abstract: A pneumatic tube conveyor station comprises a loading position for convey cases (11) to be dispatched, in which the latter are placed in a waiting position on a supporting surface, ready for being collected. The conveying cases (11) are provided with a machine-readable label (61) for identifying the station of destination and for routing the conveying cases. A label scanner (51) is arranged at the pneumatic tube conveyor station (10). The supporting surface is designed as a rotary disc (41) which has a drive (43) connected to the label scanner (51) via a signal line (65).
