  • Patent number: 11739879
Abstract: An assembly to plug a leak in a flowline includes a plug configured to plug the leak in the flowline, which includes a circumferential surface and a longitudinal axis. A plug insertion subassembly supports the plug. The plug insertion subassembly can move the plug between the circumferential surface and the longitudinal axis of the flowline. An axial positioning subassembly supports the plug insertion subassembly. The axial positioning subassembly can move the plug insertion subassembly along the longitudinal axis of the flowline. A chain-operated rotational positioning subassembly supports the axial positioning subassembly. The rotational positioning subassembly can be attached to the flowline with the leak. The rotational positioning subassembly is movable and can move the axial positioning subassembly on the circumferential surface of the flowline.

A pinion slide assembly is slidably engaged with the rack bar such that the pinion is in rotational engagement with a rack. The pinion slide assembly may be retained on the rack bar by a bolt. The pinion may be attached to a pinion shaft that may be rotated by a rotation lever. A mounting bracket may be attached to the pinion slide assembly for attachment of a hand drill. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. • Patent number: 6575673
Abstract: A method of drilling and a drill motor are provided for use with a stationary template attached to a material to be drilled. The drill motor has a frame having a handgrip and surrounding a movable carriage or motor assembly. The motor assembly contains an air-powered motor for rotating a drill bit. At least two air cylinders are located in the motor assembly on opposite sides of the drilling axis and are used to move the motor assembly within the frame. The force that can be applied to move the motor assembly is adjusted by adjusting the airflow to the cylinders. Hydraulic restrictions control the maximum speed at which the motor assembly moves. An auto-return valve and adjustable pin provide means for automatically returning the motor assembly to its rearward position once a desired drilling depth has been reached. Controls are provided at the grip for operating the feed system and manually retracting the motor assembly.

  • Patent number: 6036409
Abstract: This invention is a portable pneumatic cutter tool for cutting countersinks into a workpiece 17 having pre-drilled holes 15. When pressure is applied, a piston return cylinder 57 and a feed rate cylinder 79 are also pressurized, which sets a body piston 72 and spindle piston 80 reacts against a spindle bar 82 which holds nose 94 in its outer-most limit position. A pistol grip drill 44 drives a geared belt 34 to cut the countersink after actuation by trigger 45. A flare tube shaft 14 expands a multiple finger and pad arrangement of a collet 12 to provide clamp-up on the back side of workpiece 17. Clamp-up on the front side of workpiece 17 is provided by pneumnatic pressure and solid mechanical stops 16. The countersink cutter 18 advances into workpiece 17, reaching its depth, and returns automatically to its start position.
