Including Plural Cutters Patents (Class 409/105)
  • Patent number: 5383752
Abstract: The method described in this disclosure permits the production of dental replacements, such as inlays, onlays, and crowns, at high accuracy of fit and low cost in a single session of the patient's at the dentist's. For this purpose, a material that hardens is used for making a temporary inlay which provides an impression of the prepared dental cavity. After hardening, this material is removed from the tooth. In a first processing run, a first sensor (7a) does a preliminary scan of the temporary inlay (4) and a first processing tool (30a) is used for preliminary processing of the substrate mass (6). In a second processing run a second sensor (7b) and a second processing tool (30b) are used for a fine scan and fine processing. For this purpose the sensors (7a, 7b) and the processing tools (30a, 30b) are all arranged on a single linear stage (13).

  • Patent number: 4605049
Abstract: Multiple wood working machine having a base supporting a work bench having retaining members for the pieces to be worked and for a pattern piece, and an articulated parallelogram work frame carrying working tools for the pieces and a feeler member for the pattern piece. The work frame is constituted by two adjacent half-frames connected to the base and to an upper support structure by means of an articulated arm system including two symmetrical lateral linkages and a central linkage which is inverted relative to the lateral linkages.

  • Patent number: 4382727
Abstract: An improvement in a contour copying machine having means for supporting at least one pattern and at least one workpiece rotatably about parallel respective pattern and workpiece longitudinal axes, means for synchronously rotating the pattern and the workpiece about the respective axes, at least one copying roller engageable with the pattern, and at least one tool engageable with the workpiece, the copying roller and the tool being rigidly interconnected and synchronously movable about the respective longitudinal axes, and means for urging the copying roller and the tool against the pattern and the workpiece, respectively, for machining the workpiece and accurately reproducing therein the contours of the pattern, the improvement comprising: a rigid support frame for supporting and rigidly interconnecting the copying roller and the tool in proximate relation to one another, traction means connected to the support frame at points thereon situated symmetrically with respect to the copying roller, and biasing mean
