Abstract: A method and system design and manufacture of the monogrammed faceted and stone adorned eyeglass lenses via a computer program allowing a design, intricate facet cuts and stone placement on a computer lens model. Software may utilize a touch probe or laser scanner to gather point data from a previously designed lens, converting the data to a computer model. The data is then used to send signals to an articulated robotic arm holding a lens shape. The robotic arm receives the commands from the computer, moving and rotating the lens shape against an abrasive wheel, rotating cutter blade or rotating drill thereby duplicating the facet cuts, slots notches or depressions or other designs contained in the computer lens model. Varying pressure is applied by the articulated arm and various degrees of abrasiveness of the abrasive wheel.
Abstract: An arrangement is used for the efficient mass production of individual bodies for the artificial rebuilding of teeth, for example. The arrangement comprises a first pair of co-rotating elements, of which the first element (1) is so arranged as to support a replica (21) of a body which is to be produced, and the second element (2) is so arranged as to support a blank from which the body is to be produced. The replica and the blank are caused to rotate synchronously about the axis of rotation (3, 4) of the respective element. In a second pair of elements a third element supports a sensing device (31) which is capable of interacting with the external contour of the replica, and a fourth element supports a tool (52) by means of which the blank is capable of being machined. The first and second pairs of elements are capable of being displaced relative to one another.

Abstract: A cam grinding machine which includes a machine frame, a turning grinding wheel adjacent the frame, a swingable table positioned opposite to the frame, and a turnable work shaft for holding a workpiece mounted on the table. The table is controlled in the swing movement by a touch roller device mounted on the table and a master cam device mounted on the frame. The touch roller device is disposed to face and contact the master cam device so that the workpiece may be ground in correspondence to the master cam device by the grinding wheel provided on the forward side of forward and rearward swing direction of the table. The master cam device includes a driving shaft which is turned synchronously with the turning of the work shaft and is adjustable in its turning phase in relation to the work shaft.
Abstract: In the formation of the components of a jig for profile stitching of garment parts, a profile formed in one component is used to create associated profiles in a second component and subsequently one of the associated profiles of the second component is used to create a related profile in the first component.
