To Effect Stopping Of Infeed Patents (Class 409/155)
  • Patent number: 7513723
Abstract: A travel limit detection/control device for a milling machine table driven by a screw rod includes a power input section driven by the screw rod, a reduction/output section coupled to and driven by the power input section, and first and second activating members for cutting power supply to the screw rod. A first travel setting member has a first end coupled to and driven by the reduction/output section and a second end that comes in contact with the first activating member when the table reaches a first travel limit. A second travel setting member has a first end coupled to and driven by the reduction/output section and a second end that comes in contact with the second activating member when the table reaches a second travel limit. Positions of the first and second travel setting members can be adjusted to change the first and second travel limits of the table.

  • Patent number: 4544310
Abstract: A mechanism for machining an object, such as a key blank, to a desired shape at a plurality of successive positions in an axial direction of the object, includes a holder for the object. The holder is axially movable by means of a transfer mechanism with a rotatable shaft. There is a feeder member connected to the rotatable shaft and cooperating with a clutch device axially stationary relatively to the holder. Cooperating guiding surfaces are arranged to transmit to the holder an axial movement during a limited turning of the rotatable shaft. This turning is only a small portion of a full turn of the rotatable shaft. The machining of the object takes place as a continuous guided operation during such a turning of the rotatable shaft which is separate from the turning thereof causing the holder to move axially.

  • Patent number: 4449986
Abstract: A machine for guiding numerically controlled supports for tools used for various woodworking operations, such as boring, milling and the like, for improving the relationship between the time for positioning the workpiece and for processing the workpiece includes a base on which frame supports mount guidance supports. Tool support guides are mounted on the guidance supports for movement in two directions extending perpendicularly of one another. Conveying members including retaining members extend along the guidance supports for moving workpieces through the machine. Tool support guides are located on the guidance supports for displacement in the two different directions of movement. Upper and lower tool supports are positioned on the tool support guides along with gripping members. Using this combination of components, the speed of movement of the workpiece can be synchronized with the processing time for the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4175415
Abstract: A tool for deburring or finishing a workpiece is mounted for common reciprocatory movement with the wheelhead of a grinding machine. The tool, which is form of an elongated rod, is supported in a housing which is in turn pivoted about an axis transverse to the tool. A biasing means urges the tool toward a predetermined angular position about the pivotal axis of a housing. The tool cooperates with a workpiece to selectively overcome the bias and oscillate the tool in accordance with the relative reciprocatory movement between the grinding wheel and the workpiece.
