Abstract: A mechanical drive linkage for a blind spline broaching machine wherein a rotary motion provided by a servo driven helical ball or roller screw is converted to a linear reciprocal motion of a ram through the use of a kite link and a pivot link that as a part of their motion communicate with guide tracks in order to prevent side loads from being applied to the ball screw, its carriage, or the ram of the blind spline broaching machine.
Abstract: An automatic machine tool having a tool holder for moving a plurality of tools into working relation to a plurality of work parts, and mechanically actuated means effective to terminate machine operation if any one tool is missing from the tool holder.
Abstract: An accessory for tool machines is provided comprising a tool holder isolatedly carried on bar springs to effect a floating mount. The holder yields in response to selective load stress during cutting and is restricted to a linear force path to relieve stress. The yielding movement relieves stress and can operate signals in the event of overload or operate control means such as switches to cut off tool machine motors.
