Abstract: A method of assembling a fluid end includes inserting a valve through a bore of a housing of the fluid end and into an interior volume of the fluid end, inserting a valve cover into the bore such that the valve cover seals the bore, and coupling a lock cover to the housing, the lock cover positioned over the bore to prevent removal of the valve cover from the bore. When the lock cover is coupled to the housing, the lock cover does not apply a preload against the valve cover.

Abstract: A cable tie cut off tool including two elements. A first element has a through hole and internal and external threads, the internal threads being configured in a direction opposite the external threads. A second element includes a through hole with a blade at one end of the through hole and the through hole being threaded with internal threads which mate the external threads of the first element. A keyway is in the internal threads of the first element. The internal threads of the first element are designed to cut into but not all the way through a cable tie end to allow the first element to tension the cable tie and then the first and second elements to be rotated together to engage the blade and cut off the tail of the cable tie.
Abstract: According to aspects of one or more exemplary implementations, disclosed is a flanged ribbed nut, or FRN, having a head above an extended flange formed integral to said head, and a neck integral to and extending from said flange opposite said head, and a threading guide in fluid communication with said head, flange and neck, and having at least two interfering ribs formed therein.
Abstract: Locking devices and methods are described. The locking device includes a non-resilient locking threadform that is expandable and a threaded expander. The threadform includes a threaded exterior portion and an axially-oriented, threaded interior recess at a proximal end of the threadform. The threaded exterior portion has a length and is configured to connect two articles in an axial direction. The threaded expander has a threaded exterior that is oversized relative to the threaded interior recess so as to expand the threaded exterior portion radially as the threaded expander is positioned in the threaded interior recess.
Abstract: A hollow fastening nut assembly including an upper head adapted to engage a wrench or other tightening tool and an integral co-axial, internally threaded lower section of reduced diameter adapted for insertion into an access opening in a fastened component. The lower section acts as a compression limiter. An optional annular disc spring may be disposed about the internally threaded lower section for engagement with the rear surface of the fastened component. A locking structure may be disposed at the exterior surface of the internally threaded lower section to engage the interior of the access opening to lock the nut assembly in place.

Abstract: A fixing device used for fixing a pivot shaft includes a latching member and a fastening member. The latching member has a hollow conical latching portion. The fastening member defines a conical hole corresponding to the conical latching portion of the latching member. The latching member is capable of deforming elastically along a radial direction, and the fastening member is tightly sleeved on the latching portion of the latching member.

Abstract: The invention concerns a bush (13) to be formed around a lockbolt rivet (4) by means of a tool (14) which applies a longitudinal force, thus producing a high-strength riveted joint. The bush has substantially the shape of a hollow cylinder, but its shape deviates from rotational symmetry in such a way that when it is being formed around the lockbolt rivet (4), a torsional force acting in the direction of arrow (20) is superimposed on the longitudinal force acting in the direction of arrow (19).
Abstract: Preferred embodiments (60, 70) of a fastener adapted to secure any selected one of a plurality of threaded members (S") are provided. Fastener (60) features substantially parallel spaced-apart flat plate members (2, 4) preferably folded from one piece to provide a resilient end fold (6) connecting them together at one end and which features respective apertures (28, 26) that are axially offset by a distance ("x") and have respective thread engaging edges (24, 20) about at least a portion of their respective peripheries that are oriented to cause at least one of plates (2, 4) to rotate relative the other a distance effective to enable apertures (28, 26) to align sufficiently to enable threaded members ("S") to advance rotationally therethrough with end fold (6) further adapted to impart a resistive force against the threads that is effective to enhance the secured relationship therebetween.
