Abstract: This nut torque indicator cover includes a cover piece that is joined to an indicator piece. It is fastened to a nut/bolt assembly primarily by pressing it down onto and over the exposed threads of the bolt so that the indicator piece registers with the hex portion of the nut. A snap fit design is incorporated into the nut torque indicator cover such that the cover piece and indicator piece can rotate relative to each other. The cover piece fastens securely to the external threads of the bolt providing protection to the threads, while the indicator piece, secured by the hex flats of the nut, indicates the nut circumferential position, allowing an indication of any torque loss.

Abstract: A wheel fastener comprises a nut including a central axis, an enlarged head, a cylindrical collar extending axially from the head, and an internal bore extending having internal threads, wherein the head includes an annular inner engagement surface that is a planar surface normal to the central axis. The wheel fastener further comprises a washer permanently mounted on the collar to be rotatable relative to the nut about the central axis but confined against axial movement along the collar. The washer includes an annular outer engagement surface arranged to face the inner engagement surface of the nut head for engagement therewith, wherein the outer engagement surface of the washer is a planar surface normal to the central axis. The length of the nut collar is adapted depending upon intended use in either a single-wheel or dual wheel assembly. Anti-theft embodiments include a torque-slipping cap around the head of the nut.

Abstract: A decorative cap and nut for securing a toilet base to a floor includes a top substantially disc-shaped member having an upper disc surface and a lower disc surface. The diameter of said disc-shaped member is substantially greater than the thickness thereof so as to lie substantially flush with the toilet base. A coaxial cylindrically shaped stem extends vertically downwardly from the top and is connected to the lower disc surface. The stem includes an internal thread adapted to be threaded onto a floor bolt that extends upwardly through an aperture in the toilet base. A slot in the upper disc surface can be engaged by a tool for rotating the top and an O-ring located on the under disc surface seals the disc-shaped member to the upper surface of the toilet base. A plug fits within the slot to hide the same. The stem and top can be integrally formed in a single piece or can be made of more than one piece joined together.

Abstract: An expansible anchor assembly includes an expansion sleeve and an anchor bolt plugging and expanding the expansion sleeve. The expansion sleeve includes a first end, a second end, an expansible member adjacent to the second end that is divided into expansible segments by slits, and a bore defined in the expansion sleeve for communicating the first end with the second end. A groove is annularly formed on the expansion sleeve, and a distance from the groove to the second end equals to ¼˜? times a length of the expansion sleeve for preventing an over length of the slits, which is beneficial to the manufacture. During expansion, the expansible segments are completely expanded when the expansible member is subjected to a thrust from the anchor bolt to promote the anchoring force and avoid damaging a working wall.

Abstract: A sealed attachment fastener assembly with a receiving member and a cap that can be inserted into an opening in a work piece and fixed therein from only one side of the work piece. A portion of the fastener assembly on the blind side of the work piece is collapsible into a flange. In addition, another portion of the fastener assembly is contemporaneously radially expandable within the opening of the work piece to at least rotationally secure the fastener assembly with respect to the work piece. The radial expansion will result in a high interference fit of the fastener in the work piece, which may enhance the fatigue of the installation. A cap completes the fastener assembly to substantially prevent fluid from leaking through the fastener assembly opening. The cap can be assembled with the receiving member after the internal threads within the receiving member have been machined.

Abstract: A nut and bolt cover apparatus is preferably made from three pieces. A cover piece may be placed over a nut and may have an adapter piece placed over the cover. An exterior cover may be releasably attached to the adapter piece and may squeeze a portion of the adapter piece as the exterior cover is releasably attached to the adapter. Squeezing the adapter piece preferably compresses the cover piece and causes the cover piece to grip the nut of a nut and bolt assembly while the adapter piece grips the cover piece. Removing the exterior cover may relieve the compression forces causing the adapter piece to grip the cover piece and the cover piece to grip a nut, thus permitting the nut and bolt cover apparatus to be removed.
