With Rotation Responsive Moving Means Patents (Class 414/361)
  • Patent number: 10494204
Abstract: A tilting apparatus for emptying materials, including bulk material, out of railcars that are open at a top may include a tilting frame that is rotatable about an axis of rotation D and is connected to a platform that can receive at least one railcar, a clamping arm attached to the tilting frame in a rotatable manner, a locking device for preventing relative movement of the tilting frame and the clamping arm, and a bracket that is attached to the clamping arm such that in a tilted position of the tilting apparatus in which the tilting frame has been rotated about the axis of rotation that bracket lies at least partially against an upper edge of at least one of the side walls of the at least one railcar. Further, the hydraulic cylinder may be attached to the bracket.

  • Patent number: 10238569
Abstract: A fastening device is disclosed. The fastening device has a housing having a receptacle that receives a coupler of an operating table device and a locking member connected to the housing and movable relative to the housing between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking member retains the coupler in the receptacle in the locked position, and the locking member releases the coupler from the receptacle in the unlocked position. The fastening device also has a resilient member that urges the locking member toward the locked position, an actuation member that moves the locking member from the locked position to the unlocked position, and a ratchet assembly that maintains the locking member in the unlocked position.

  • Patent number: 4824313
Abstract: An apparatus for lifting and moving heavy, elongated rolls of material comprises an elongated member adapted to be inserted axially in a roll of material, a pair of lifting devices for engaging end portions of the axial member that project from opposite ends of the roll. Each lifting device has a fulcrum member fixed to divergent members of a rigid frame structure. A holder for engaging one end portion of the axial member is fixed to one diverging frame member and an adjustable lever arm is attached to the other diverging frame member. A moveable dolly for supporting the roll of material after initial lifting has side projecting arms which can be engaged by the lifting devices so that when the dolly with a roll of material is lifted to a predetermined height the material can be moved axially on the dolly end onto another surface.

  • Patent number: 4685851
Abstract: A rail car tippler installation has an open-sided tippler with a rotatable structure (8) comprising a main longitudinal beam (16) mounted on end pivots (10, 18), said beam supporting a rail car platform (2) that substantially spans the distance between the end pivots. The main beam carries the weight of the rail car and platform during tipping and has pivot supports (30) for clamping beams (34) that are displaceably lockable to hold the rail car on the platform. The tipping axis is laterally offset from the platform in a manner that reduces the sweep radius of the tippler and the rise of the rail car during tipping. The installation includes a hopper (14) that is offset laterally oppositely to the tipping axis and has an entry opening that extends longitudinally as far as the end pivots.
