  • Patent number: 8128334
Abstract: A support assembly provides for a method of mobilization that does not require removal of shelving and restocking of items on gondolas and warehouse pallet racking, even if the gondola or pallet racking is too wide for prior art mobilization methods. The support assembly comprises a pair of tubular members capable of engaging fork-like extensions of a hand truck or the like. The hand truck may have caster wheels for mobilization and may have a lifting mechanism for raising and lowering the support assembly by the fork-like extensions, when tongues extending from the tubular members are aligned and matingly engaged at a middle support and outer supports of the gondola. By using a plurality of such lift assemblies engaged along the length of the gondola or gondola run, a row of gondolas may be lifted and mobilized without removing shelving and restocking items on the shelves, even if the gondola is wide and the items stocked on the shelves of the gondola add substantial weight to the gondola.

  • Publication number: 20110017572
Abstract: A stackable carrier assembly, carrier stacking system, and method of storing carrier assemblies is disclosed. The carrier assembly includes a base member presenting a load surface and opposite facing transfer surface. A plurality of carrier trolleys extend transversely from the load surface to engage conveyor tracks. A plurality of track sections are coupled to the load surface for receiving the carrier trolleys of another carrier assembly. The track sections are vertically aligned with the carrier trolleys. In a power and free or friction drive conveyor system, a lift device and telescoping arm can lift and stack the carrier assemblies so that track sections of one carrier assembly receive the carrier trolleys of another carrier assembly. In an overhead conveyor system, one carrier assembly can hang from the track sections of another carrier assembly.

Abstract: A trailer includes a coupling to attach the trailer to a tractor, and a frame attached to the coupling. The frame is positionable as a single unit about a container such that the frame can be attached to the container in four regions of the container to lift the container. The trailer has road wheels for long-haul transportation over road systems. The trailer frame can be positioned about the container by laterally expanding and retracting, pivoting about a horizontal axis, and pivoting about a vertical axis.

  • Patent number: 7862285
Abstract: Disclosed is a hoist trolley having a pair of jacking plates with apertures for attaching the plates to a compressor. Fixed to the opposing ends of the jack-plates are telescopic legs with extendable retractable wheels and a screw jack that is used to elevate the load, once the plates are attached, enabling the wheels to be extended. Once extended, the jack base plate is raised with the wheels supporting the load. Transporting the load is accomplished by providing a pair of rails cantilevered from a stand. Also provides are additional elements to enhance the range of applications for the compressor trolley including a pry bar incorporating a motive member whereby the bar can be used in the similar function of supporting some part of the load while moving to a workspace and a depending pivot arm having one element of a fastener, with the other incorporated into an opposing jacking plate. Furthermore, the spaced apart trolley rails can include integral rollers.
