Abstract: A bow stop including a Vee portion having a front, bow engaging concave surface and rear surface. The bow stop further having a connection portion for connection to a trailer. The Vee portion has a rigid body or chassis (hereinafter “body”) and a polymer cover, and the polymer cover overlies a front, Vee-shaped surface of the body. The connection portion is configured for positioning between a pair of spaced apart and generally parallel upstanding arms of a bow stop support structure of a boat trailer and the connection portion includes a connector for connection to the upstanding arms.

Abstract: An apparatus for loading the bed of a pickup truck comprises a brace for supporting a load from the ground, the brace preventing the load from applying weight to the tail end of the bed with damaging consequences while being drawn into position by a winch and cable system. A pallet is used to stage the load on the ground and to provide a structure with a low angle of attack to the brace, the low angle of attack facilitating the transition of the load to the bed by reducing the tipping moment over the brace.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus to assist in unloading freight from a transport vessel using a movable winch drum positioned operably proximate an underside of the floor of the transport vessel, a least one roller connectable to a transom of the transport vessel, the at least one roller being dimensioned to receive a cable, the cable being connected to the winch drum at a first end, and a shaped bulkhead connected to the cable at a second, the bulkhead being positioned at a bow of the bed, behind the freight, wherein when the movable winch drum is actuated, the shaped bulkhead is configured to pull freight towards an aft of the bed for unloading. A method for the same is also provided.

Abstract: A device for assisting one-man launching of boats from boat trailers is provided. A tensioned rope is retained and secured within a reel attached to a boat trailer or other location. In use, the tensioned rope is secured to the trailered boat and retains the boat after the boat is floated free of its trailer. The reel may be removably secured to a number of locations to enable a multiple of uses such as a boat attached line for towing a bait container or sea anchor. The invention includes a trailer having a tensioned rope to allow automatic controlled release of a boat during launch.

Abstract: A squatdown axle and suspension system for vehicles used to haul cargo provides a frame, a cargo bed attached to the frame, at least two wheels, and an adjustable suspension system for suspending the frame on the wheels between a transport position in which the frame and cargo bed are generally parallel to the road surface and a load position in which the cargo bed is lowered to the road surface. In one embodiment the suspension system includes at least one air bag which can be alternately inflated or deflated to adjust the position of the cargo bed and frame with respect to the road surface. A removable pulley for use with a winch and cable and an adjustable axle assembly are also provided.

Abstract: A system for removing and replacing heat exchange baskets for radially loaded air preheaters. The system includes a platform having a horizontal upper surface for supporting the heat exchange baskets. The upper surface is substantially alignable with each basket support level such that a single platform may be used to remove or replace all of the heat exchange baskets. A tugger and tugger line are provided for providing the motive force required to move the heat exchange baskets. An engagement apparatus engages and applies the motive force to the heat exchange basket. At least one pulley is used to control the direction of movement of the tugger line and thereby direct the motive force to either push or pull the heat exchange basket.

Abstract: A portable device for launching-unloading a boat (24) from a boat trailer (10) wherein a winch rope snap (46) is snapped in to a boat bow eye (26) and a winch rope (36) is extended through a swivel pulley (38) attached to the rear trailer frame cross member (16) and continued forward to the launching winch (28). Upon activation of the launching winch (28) a rearward directional thrust is developed causing the boat (24) to move off of the trailer (10).

Abstract: A dump truck or trailer has a side hinged rear door and longitudinal rails for wheeled pallets in order that it may be used, alternatively, for hauling comminuted or palletized cargo. A winch and cable system is provided to assist in movement of the palletized cargo on the rails. A storage rack for pallets is provided.

Abstract: A combination of a vehicle and a demountable body for transporting loads, the vehicle having a support which is movable between a horizontal position to support the body for transportation and an inclined position. The support carries an ended chain provided at one end with a hook for attachment to the body, and an endless chain provided with a pusher to engage the body, the chains being driven by a drive motor. The body has a guide arranged on lowering of the hook towards a lifting bar on the body, to guide the hook into engagement with the bar whereupon the hook is automatically releasably attached to the bar.
