  • Patent number: 8607480
Abstract: The two jaws of the bucket each consist of two rigid portions, the receptacle and the shovel, which are hinged onto on another around the pivoting axis. They are connected to the chassis and to the control cylinder by the suspension arm and the moving arm. The hinges of each jaw between the receptacle, the shovel, the suspension arms, the moving arms, the cylinder, and the chassis imply four hinged systems, each having four push rods. During a closing movement of the bucket from the position of maximum separation of the jaws, a relative pivoting of limited amplitude occurs in alternating directions between the receptacle and the shovel of each jaw.

  • Patent number: 5718771
Abstract: A retractable traversing trash rake is provided for cleaning weedscreens or bar grates at an installation for generating power, filtering water, or the like. The trash rake includes a frame carrying a troney movable from a position inside the frame to a position outside the frame. The trolley carries a trash rake which may be lowered to clean the weedscreen, and the trolley may be moved to a position within the frame, where the trash rake may be opened to deposit collected debris into a hopper. The hopper is pivotally mounted for tilting in opposite direction to provide multiple dumping options. A method of cleaning weedscreen by using a retractable traversing trash rake is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5348361
Abstract: This invention relates to a tree mover for relocating small trees. The tree mover is designed to dig a hole to receive a tree having a root ball, dig up a tree and deposit a tree in a hole. The tree mover comprises loader buckets having concave inner surfaces pivoted between an open position for digging and a closed position for lifting. Pusher blades are mounted so as to be closely spaced from said inner surfaces and to be movable between a raised position and a lowered position. These pusher blades enable the integrity of a root ball of a tree to be retained. They also may be used to clean dirt from the surface of the bucket.

  • Patent number: 5217274
Abstract: This invention relates to a tree mover for relocating small trees. The tree mover is designed to dig a hole to receive a tree, dig up a tree and deposit the tree in the hole. The tree mover includes a supporting frame for attachment to a tractor, shafts pivotally mounted on the frame and a loading bucket mounted on the shafts. A crank arm is connected to each of the shafts and is linked to a double crank to bias the loader buckets to an open or closed position, as a consequence of the rotation of the double crank. The double crank is hydraulically controlled.

  • Patent number: 4265036
Abstract: A method and apparatus for removing bottom material from beneath the surface of a body of water includes a floatable base upon which a tower is mounted for extending vertically upwardly therefrom. A rigid, elongate member having a bucket is connected to the tower and shiftable relative thereto by means of a power-driven motor mounted adjacent the tower. The motor is operable for selectively shifting the elongate member in a substantially vertical direction to effect raising and lowering of the bucket. A carriage is connected by cables to the motor and is operable for substantially vertical shifting along guides provided on the tower. The elongate member is connected to the carriage and suspended therefrom and is also pivotally connected to the carriage to permit pivotal movement of the elongate member about a horizontal axis extending generally perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the elongate member.
