Holdable In Different Pitch Positions During Loading Patents (Class 414/716)
  • Publication number: 20120107078
Abstract: An implement attaching to a vehicle and having a work assembly and a linkage assembly, the work assembly having an edge commonly used for clearing snow. The work assembly may be for example a bucket on a front end loader. The linkage assembly is formed as a non-parallelogram quadrilateral with four pivot axes. Upper and lower pivot axes attach the linkage assembly to the work assembly. When the vehicle is driven so that the edge strikes an immovable object, the linkage assembly functions so that the lower pivot axis moves in a direction toward the work assembly relative to the upper pivot axis. That is, the quadrilateral linkage assembly functions to lift the edge as a heel of the work assembly remains on the ground such that the work assembly is allowed to tilt up so the edge can ride over the immovable object.

  • Patent number: 5648728
Abstract: An apparatus for positioning a workpiece comprises a plurality of pedestals each comprising a first portion having a first width, a second portion having a second width greater than the first width, and a chamfered portion interposed between the first and second portions. The inventive apparatus further comprises a support having a plurality of holes therein for receiving the plurality of pedestals, the support further having a plurality of chamfered portions with one the chamfered portion about a periphery of each the hole. A base urges the chamfered portions of the pedestal away from the chamfered portions of the support.

  • Patent number: 4795305
Abstract: A portable bucket loader attachment can be operated by a conventional garden tractor or pickup truck. The loader has a wheel mounted frame having a forwardly extending boom carrying a bucket rotationally mounted at the end of the boom. A rotational control device mounted on the frame is operated by one or more cables which are operatively connected to a pair of electric winches. The rotational control device is connected to the bucket by connecting rods which control the rotational position of the bucket about the boom, thus controlling the "scoop" and "dump" functions of the bucket. Elevation of the bucket is controlled by a winch which retrieves and releases cable connected to the rotational control device, the cable also passing over a sheave mounted at an upper portion of the frame.

  • Patent number: 4599035
Abstract: A device for raising and lowering a heavy object between selected heights and positions includes two pairs of spaced, parallel lift arms which are pivotally coupled at one end. One end of one of the pairs of lift arms is pivotally coupled to a base member. A shaft extends between the lever arms and a handle is provided to rotate the shaft to simultaneously rotate the lift arms with respect to the base member. Linkages couple the other lift arms to the shaft at pivot points which are offset from the pivot points of the lift arms and from the shaft. Accordingly, the two pairs of lever arms simultaneously move with respect to one another upon the actuation of the connecting shaft.
