Abstract: A control apparatus for a bucket loader allows a single linear actuator to provide multiple operative functions for the bucket loader. A selector link is pivotally mounted on the back plate of loader bucket to selectively connect the back plate to the base portion of the linear actuator so that the extendable portion powers a pivoting of the bucket shell to dump material from the bucket, or connect the back plate to the extendable portion of the linear actuator to power the vertical movement of the back plate. A chain interconnects the extendable portion of the linear actuator and the pivotable bucket shell to power the pivoting of the bucket shell when the selector link is connected to the base portion. The bucket shell can be mechanically locked into an open position to allow the back plate to be utilized as a push blade.

Abstract: A directional bushing is provided for a pinned joint of an articulated structure such as a front end loader used with a work vehicle. The bushing has an annular ring portion and an oblong flange portion. The flange portion extends angularly outward from one side of the ring portion so as to form a wider rounded end. The flange portion is thicker at the area adjacent to the ring portion so as to provide additional support to the ring portion under load, and tapers to a more thin profile at the rounded end. The bushing is surface welded to the structure at the pinned joint with the flange portion oriented in the direction of the greatest load when the structure is articulated, so that the load is more evenly distributed over a wider area, thereby preventing weld failure.

Abstract: A non-articulated boom extension is designed to be attached to the moveable support arm of a skid steer loader or similar construction vehicle, to increase both horizontal and vertical reach capabilities of the vehicle. The boom extension is formed with two longitudinally extending rigid arm members which are immoveably connected at an obtuse angle in relation to each other. An intermediate support section is secured to both arms to maintain a rigid connection, thus insuring that the extender, at all times, maintains this advantageous configuration. The boom extension has a base at the end of one of its arm members which allows the extension to be pivotally connected for angular adjustment with the support arm of the vehicle. At the other end of the boom extension, there is a connection for attaching an auger, hook, or other work-related apparatus.

Abstract: The invention provides a bale handling apparatus capable of being used to lift and transport two similar bales in a substantially side-by-side manner. The apparatus includes at least two vertically and horizontally offset main spears. Each main spear is grouped with at least one vertically and/or horizontally offset stabilizer spear. By virtue of the offset design of the main spears, the apparatus can be used to load two bales sequentially by lifting a first bale and then lifting a second bale without unloading the first bale from the apparatus. The apparatus can also be used to load two bales simultaneously. The two bales can then be transported together to another location and unloaded from the apparatus sequentially or simultaneously.

Abstract: The lifting frame with Z-kinematics of a wheel loader comprises an accessory arm with a lifting cylinder coupled to the vehicle frame or to the truck front-end and a rocker-type reversing lever coupled to the accessory arm, to the ends of which reversing lever the tipping cylinder and the connecting link are coupled for the swivelling of the attachment. Attachments, e.g. a bucket or a log loader, are mountable on the lifting frame. In order to be able, in a raised position of the lifting frame, to swivel the attachment with the necessary large moment from a position tipped downwards into a position tipped upwards, without any reinforcement of the tipping cylinder, there is coupled with the lifting frame, in the direction of the attachment in front of the articulated joint connecting the tipping cylinder to the vehicle frame, at least one hydraulic cylinder, whereof the piston rod engages in an articulated manner with the swivel axle connecting the reversing lever with the tipping cylinder.
