Support Carried Or Formed By Endless Belt Conveyor Patents (Class 414/793.5)
  • Patent number: 9796540
Abstract: A system and associated method for palletizing fluid filled flexible packages. The system includes a platform, a distance sensor, a robotic arm palletizer and a controller. The platform is configured and arranged with a support surface for supporting a fluid filled flexible package. The distance sensor is disposed above the support surface of the platform and faces downward towards the support surface for taking distance readings. The robotic arm palletizer is operable for palletizing fluid filled flexible packages according to a preprogrammed stacking protocol that includes a drop-off height dimension. The controller is in electrical communication with the distance sensor and the robotic arm for establishing or adjusting the drop-off height dimension based upon distance readings from the distance sensor.

  • Patent number: 7585146
Abstract: A device for forming stacks of sheet products, in particular of paper products, may include the paper products being supplied in an input stream by a feed conveyor to a transfer section. The device may also include at least two set-down tables each including a set-down surface for receiving stacks of the supplied paper products. The set-down tables may move along a circuit-like table-circulating path and may be flexible at least in some segments to conform to shapes of curvatures located in at least some parts and subregions of the table-circulating path. As a result, it is possible for the set-down tables to be guided into the curvatures with a leading front side edge of each of the set-down tables being a leading edge in a circulating direction of the set-down tables. The stacks of stacked paper products may then be transported away from a delivery section by a removal conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20030026682
Abstract: A synchronized palletizer includes a row conveyor and a layer head, each vertically reciprocating within a frame. An infeed conveyor delivers in series items row-by-row onto the row conveyor. The row conveyor moves to vertically coincide with the layer head and laterally transfer a row items onto the layer head. Once a complete item layer has been constructed on the layer head, the layer head collapses the layer together and drops the layer through its floor onto a pallet or stack of item layers therebelow. Generally, the layer head vertical position follows the top of stack of item layers and the row conveyor travels reciprocally between the infeed conveyor and the layer head to deliver items row-by-row to the layer head. A variety of alternative relative positioning schemes, however, may be implemented.

Abstract: In a station for forming stacks of layers of articles, a horizontal supporting surface has a window for allowing a layer to pass freely therethrough. First pushing bars drive the layers along the support surface. A stationary descending ramp starts from the initial part of the window and extends downstream. A horizontal lower surface is situated after the ramp and under a horizontal upper surface, and forms a part of the support surface situated downstream of the window. An additional conveyor is associated to the window to restore cyclically a continuity in the support surface in the region of the window for the odd layers, and consequently to direct each odd layer toward the upper surface, and to allow the even layers to pass cyclically through the window. The even layers are consequently directed, due to gravity, onto the ramp. Second pushing bars move each even layer to the ramp and convey the even layer to the lower surface.
