Abstract: A ceiling fan filter comprising a housing having an air entrance and an air exit. Within the housing and intermediate the air entrance and exit is a filter medium sized to entrap airborne particles. A ceiling fan clip secures the filter to the leading edge portion of a fan blade, thereby filtering the air as it is moved by the ceiling fan.
Abstract: A fan blade cover for use on fans having a plurality of fan blades, where one size cover fits many sizes and contours of fan blades. The cover includes a sleeve manufactured from a flexible material in a tubular configuration where one end of the sleeve is closed and an opposite end is open for mounting the cover on the fan blade. The open end of the sleeve includes a closure for closing off the open end to securely maintain the cover on the fan blade during fan operation.
Abstract: A supplementary fin for attachment to the blades of dispersion fans in microwave ovens is disclosed. Supplementary fins 7 and 7a are removably attached to the underside of respective blades 2 and 2a of standard dispersing fan 1. To maintain balance of the fan assembly, supplementary fins 7b and 7c are attached to the top side of respective dispersing fan blades 2b and 2c. The removable attachment capability of the supplementary fins is accomplished by sliding of tongue 5 through a rectangular hole 4 so as to align a fixing hole 6 with a circular hole 3. An expandable clip 9 is inserted through holes 3 and 6 and is expanded by insertion of a pin 8 so as to removably attach the supplementary fin 7 to dispersing fan blade 2. This removable attachment capability allows optimum dispersion characteristics to be achieved for a variety of dispersing fans, fan motors, and oven air venting configurations, by simple replacement of supplementary fins with supplementary fins of different design.
Abstract: An air filter for attaching to a top and/or bottom surface of a fan blade. The air filter is constructed from an elongated strip of porous material capable of having air pass therethrough while trapping airborne particles borne by the air. Also, the elongated strip has opposed exposed surfaces and a peripheral edge extending therearound and preferably, an adhesive strip having opposite surfaces and an adhesive substance on each of the opposite surfaces is attached to one side edge of the elongated strip. The other opposed surface of the adhesive strip is preferably attached to a top and/or bottom surface of a fan blade. Thus, the filter strip sweeps and filters air moving across the one surface of the fan blade as the fan blade rotates.
Abstract: A method and device for reducing the pollution of the air in a room equipped with a ceiling fan having one or more rotating blades comprising covering at least one blade of the fan with porous dust-absorbent material whereby movement of the fan blades removes pollution from the room air.
Abstract: According to the invention an increase of the effective displacement of air in an axial propeller, whose blades are not twisted, is achieved by applications of tab, substantially rigid, at the trailing edge of the blade, the maximum width of the tab being at the blade internal end.
Abstract: An auxiliary hub device for use in combination with a propeller of an outboard drive marine engine, the device basically comprising a sleeve which is attachable in interconnecting relation between the engine's drive shaft and the outboard propeller. The auxiliary hub device is used as an emergency connector so as to enable an outboard drive marine engine whose propeller has sheared from the drive shaft to make way in the water.
