Patent number: 11680471Abstract: A production tubing is disposed in a wellbore. Hydrocarbons entrapped in a subterranean zone enter the wellbore. Multiple valves are disposed in the production tubing at respective multiple tubing locations. The multiple valves divide the production tubing into multiple stages. A presence of hydrocarbons in a first stage terminating at a first valve is determined and gas is injected into the first stage causing the hydrocarbons in the first stage to flow uphole through the first valve into a second stage uphole of the first stage. It is determined that the second stage is filled with the hydrocarbons and injection of the gas into the first stage is ceased. Multiple side chambers are disposed in the respective multiple stages. Determining the presence of hydrocarbons in the first stage incudes detecting a fluidic level of the hydrocarbons inside the first side chamber.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2021Date of Patent: June 20, 2023Assignee: Saudi Arabian Oil CompanyInventor: Al-Waleed Abdullah Al-Gouhi

Patent number: 10893664Abstract: An animal drinker includes a base tray that is defined by an exterior drinking trough connected to an interior fluid reservoir by a passageway. The trough and the interior fluid reservoir are maintained at a consistent fluid level. An upper reservoir stores fluid above the interior reservoir and is in fluid communication therewith by an outlet positioned at the bottom. A buoyant float pan is positioned in the interior fluid reservoir of the base tray. A float stop is positioned between the float pan and the outlet of the upper reservoir to stop the flow of fluid from the upper reservoir to the interior fluid reservoir at a predetermined level.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2018Date of Patent: January 19, 2021Assignee: Manna Pro Products, LLCInventor: Paul H. Patent number: 8641894Abstract: A Water and Wastewater Treatment Aerated Mini-Dosing air-lift pump System and filter housing, that replaces the conventional dosing pump, controls and additional Tank. It is adaptable to all access ports and uniquely smaller than a 3? inspection port and is integrally positioned in an existing or new raw water pretreatment or pump tank. It aerates the source pool thereby mitigating: H2SO4 gases, odors and source pool BOD5. The system communicates with an above ground aerator and optional controls and in it's plurality supplies dissolved and free oxygen to the pump, housing, effluent and the source pool, with surge protection and scum mitigation. Mini-metering and, low pressure, extended cycle durations increase the average microbial production balance and microbial Ratio to nutrients BOD. The raw sewage tank no longer requires gas removal prior to inspection due to oxic and anoxic microbial processes that mitigates H2SO4 gases.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2007Date of Patent: February 4, 2014Inventor: Ted Arthur Bennatt

Patent number: 8032256Abstract: A system that control levels of liquids in reservoirs may include a control component that causes a compressor to pump gas through a tube extending in a liquid in a reservoir to an air bell for a predetermined amount of time responsive to a pump pumping portions of a liquid from the reservoir. The control component may also cause the compressor to pump gas through the tube for a predetermined amount of time responsive to the control component determining that a predetermined amount of time has passed since the compressor was previously operated. The control component may also cause the compressor to pump gas through the tube for a predetermined amount of time, responsive to the control component determining that a pressure sensor component in fluid communication with the tube indicates a possible decrease in the liquid level to at least a predetermined level.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2009Date of Patent: October 4, 2011Assignee: SJE-RhombusInventors: Aaron R. Patent number: 5066198Abstract: A gas lift valve of the unloading type having a main valve for controlling fluid flow between a well casing and a well tubing, a volume of compressible liquid a spaced distance from said main valve and subject to casing pressure, and a pilot valve between the main valve and the compressible liquid for controlling opening and closing of the main valve by permitting casing pressure to act thereon or to isolate it therefrom as the volume of the compressible liquid changes in response to changes in casing pressure to which it is subjected. Gas lift well systems utilizing such gas lift valves and methods for operating such gas lift well systems are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 1990Date of Patent: November 19, 1991Assignee: Otis Engineering CorporationInventor: Kenneth L. Patent number: 4437514Abstract: Method and apparatus for dewatering a gas well in which the level of water in the well may be maintained at a fairly constant low level employing a diverter valve for introducing liquid into the tubing which valve is maintained closed when the liquid level drops below a selected level and employing a fluid responsive gas lift valve utilizing annulus gas to lift the liquid within the tubing from the well. The fluid operated valve may be closed by a constant force exerted on the valve member toward closed position or the force urging the valve member to closed position may be increased in response to a reduction in pressure in the annulus to close the gas lift valve when the annulus pressure reduces to a selected level.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1982Date of Patent: March 20, 1984Assignee: Otis Engineering CorporationInventor: Carlos R. Patent number: 4067350Abstract: A gas lift valve capable of being actuated by fluid such as a predetermined liquid head in a tubing string or by gas in a casing surrounding the tubing for introducing lifting gas from the casing into the tubing for lifting liquid in the tubing from one elevation to a higher elevation, wherein the valve has an adjustable resilient means which is adjustable for different pressure conditions from externally of the valve to thereby avoid extensive disassembly and reassembly for adjustment of the resilient means, and wherein the valve stem below the bellows is virtually eliminated whereby valve stem bowing and corkscrewing with resultant problems are overcome. The resilient means is disposed above the bellows and is isolated from well fluid so that it can operate in the absence of any fluid or pressure to thereby enable the use of various resilient materials having more desirable spring rate characteristics. Drag from the spring or resilient means is minimized and essentially eliminated.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1977Date of Patent: January 10, 1978Inventor: Ivan J. Raggio
