Pump Driven By Traverse Movement Patents (Class 417/235)
  • Patent number: 8152480
Abstract: A water pump assembly includes a frame having a mount for mounting the frame to a vehicle. A water pump is mounted within a bottom bowl on the frame and is substantially surround by an encircling U-shaped foot to protect the water pump from damage. A pivotal arch is carried on the frame and a water discharge nozzle is carried on the arch. A flexible conduit connects the nozzle to an outlet of the water pump. Pivoting of the arch flexes the conduit in a fore and aft direction to raise or lower the trajectory of the water stream being thrown from the nozzle. In addition, pivoting of the nozzle about a vertical axis on the arch laterally changes the direction of throw of the water stream by flexing or twisting the conduit in a side to side manner. The nozzle is carried on the arch using a nozzle support sleeve in which the nozzle is free to slide back and forth to accommodate changes in the orientation of the conduit.

  • Patent number: 7794660
Abstract: A fluid content monitor including a cuvette, a calorimeter adapted to generate a signal indicative of contents of a fluid sample contained in the cuvette, a container for holding a reagent, and a pump assembly for delivering reagent from the container to the cuvette. The pump assembly includes a tube extending from the container to the cuvette, check valves preventing reverse flow in the tube, and a hammer driven by a solenoid for repetitively compressing the tube to pump reagent to the cuvette. The cuvette can be removed for cleaning and replacement.

  • Patent number: 6431839
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a tank, an air compressor, and a motor with an output shaft. A fan is mounted on the output shaft. A drive assembly interconnects the motor operatively with the compressor. The apparatus further includes a base structure and a shroud. The base structure is configured to support the compressor, the motor and the drive assembly on the tank. The shroud is configured to cover the compressor, the motor, the drive assembly and the base structure on the tank. The shroud has a cooling air inlet port and a cooling air outlet port. A plurality of internal wall portions of the shroud are configured to direct cooling air to flow over the motor and the compressor upon flowing through the cover from the inlet port to the outlet port under the influence of the fan.

  • Patent number: 4305389
Abstract: A low non-skidding rack holds a breathing bag against the operating room floor in position to be conveniently squeezed rhythmically by the anesthetist using the ball of his foot, thus reinforcing or even taking over the depressed respiration of his patient, while leaving both his hands free for doing venipunctures and performing other functions. The rack includes at one end a rigid tube, removable for sterilization, which couples a breathing hose coming off the gas machine to the mouth of the gas bag, and at the other end an arm with means for gripping and holding the tail of the gas bag.
