Abstract: Apparatus for distributing processing fluid across a sheet of photographic material to facilitate the distribution of the fluid between that sheet and another sheet. The processing fluid is contained in one or more elongated flexible tubes, each provided at one end with a flow control nozzle and provided with flow control stops spaced by a predetermined length of the tubing to facilitate deposition of the fluid in a defined path across the sheet.

Abstract: A machine for filling bodies having elongated cavities such as culture medium paddles has a ring for supporting a plurality of bodies, means to continuously rotate the ring, filling means to deliver a liquid culture medium to a cavity on one side of the body, means to turn the body over to expose a second cavity, and second filling means to deliver a liquid culture medium to the second cavity.

Abstract: A mechanism for feeding fluid into capsules in a capsule-filling machine embodying a cam-controlled roller movable into and out of squeezing relation to a flexible feed tube, and movable along the tube in a fluid-ejecting direction when disposed in such squeezing relation to the tube, with tube shut off means and ejector nozzle positioning means operable in timed relation to the actuation of the roller.

Abstract: A peristaltic pump comprising a portable housing capable of being held in the hand and which carries means defining an elongated surface, a tube leading past the housing in contact with the elongated surface that includes near one end of the housing, a non-return valve that allows fluid to flow only in the direction that leads away from the housing, the tube being a flexible tube along at least that part of its length in contact with the elongated surface, a roller which is reciprocable along the flexible tube, means for squeezing the tube against the surface by the roller and thereby closing the tube and for moving the roller along the tube towards the non-return valve while thus squeezing the tube, means for continuously biasing the roller away from the non-return valve and means to withdraw the roller from said tube during or subsequent to its return to its initial position whereby the flexible tube returns substantially to its normal configuration.
