Abstract: An aspirator pump, especially for medical purposes, has a receptacle with two chambers arranged alongside each other, which are connected with a suction tube, and on each of which an element is arranged which is movable approximately parallel to the other, each partially enclosing a hollow space for generating a vacuum. The two movable elements are connected to each other by means of a lever, whose two end parts are attached at the upper area of the respective movable elements, and whose middle part is movably attached in a bearing positioned between the chambers. In the upper area of each movable element a one way valve is installed which opens when the pressure in the hollow space is higher than the surrounding air pressure. An easy operation and cleaning, as well as a reliable aspiration is obtained with the aspirator pump, owing to the fact that at all times a chamber and a movable element enclose a common, variable hollow space, wherein the movable element bounds the upper area of the hollow space.

  • Patent number: 5800139
Abstract: An electromagnetic pump has a solenoid reciprocating a piston that abuts the ball of a first, one-way ball valve coaxially aligned with the piston axis. In the abutting position the piston closes the valve and provides a pump chamber of very small volume. An second, one-way outlet valve is located orthogonal to the first valve to provide a compact structure and further minimize the volume of the pump chamber. A plurality of these inlet valves can be arranged so the pistons are parallel and activated by a single, solenoid activated piston, with the outlet valves being radially orientated to provide a compact structure that simultaneously provides precise fluid amounts to a plurality of locations, such as multiple pistons of a two cycle engine.

Abstract: A pump comprising a housing, a diaphragm mounted in the housing, a pumping member or members, and a drive, preferably a wobble plate drive, for driving the pumping member or members on intake and discharge strokes. The wobble plate is preferably mounted on a ball bearing and includes a snap retainer assembly to retain the bearing in place without force fitting. The wobble plate preferably defines one or more open ended chambers in which the pumping member or members are placed. The annular zone or zones of the diaphragm which flex when driven by the wobble plate drive to provide the pumping action are configured to increase efficiency and/or to reduce wear.

  • Patent number: 5785504
Abstract: The pump comprises three distinct series of pumping stages driven on a single shaft by the same motor. Between the first and second series of pumping stages, the liquid is diverted from the pump through a by-pass towards, for example, a filtering device for removing the liquid as many impurities as possible. Then, the filtered liquid is conveyed back to the second series of pumping stages of the pump where the liquid is pumped at high pressure before being conveyed through a by-pass outside of the pump and towards a treatment chamber, such as a chamber for reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, or the like. The permeate (filtered solution) is removed from the installation whereas the solute (concentrated solution) is, in large part, reconveyed towards a third series of pumping stages, at the discharge of which the liquid is mixed with the filtered liquid from the second series of stages and the mixture is then conveyed again towards the treatment chamber. This high yield system eliminates a second and third pump.

  • Patent number: 5622478
Abstract: A gas compressor with at least three hydraulic cylinders is connected to a source of natural gas by a gas line. The gas line can also be removably attached to a storage tank. A hydraulic system is also connected to the cylinders. The compressor additionally includes pressure controls which allow the pistons in the hydraulic cylinders to complete the compression stroke in a staged manner. The cylinders are thereby sequentially emptied of gas. Gas at a sufficient initial pressure, entering the cylinders at the completion of the compression cycle, drives the return stroke of the pistons. A pressure switch controls the pressure level of the compressed gas, and aborts the compression cycle when a predetermined pressure in the storage tank has been reached.

Abstract: A new structure for an efficient electric pump is described. The electric pump of this invention mainly comprises a cover plate, a top cover and a housing to make up the outside appearance. Its inside consists of a dual piston device, an eccentric transmission device for the pistons to stroke up and down, an electric motor, a switch, an adjustable pressure switch, a rotary dial for adjusting said pressure switch and the associated circuitry. The cover plate has two circular ball-shaped chambers for the pistons to create the sucking and the discharging. In between the two ball-shaped chamber are discharge and suction channels which are independent from each other but are joined together. Two ends of the channel are provided with clack valves for controlling the air flow to be drawing in on one side and discharge on the other side.
