  • Patent number: 7479001
Abstract: The invention can be used as a high pressure rotor vane pump or hydro motor. Rotor vane machine comprises a rotor including working and supporting parts connected via force chambers of variable length so that they rotate synchronously with a possibility of little reciprocal axial movements and tilts required to provide sliding insulating contact of face surfaces of the working and supporting pans of the rotor with the surfaces of the working and supporting cover plates of the housing correspondingly. Between the supporting cover plate of the housing and supporting part of the rotor there are made supporting cavities hydraulically connected via the means of local pressures balancing to the force chambers of variable length and cavities of the working chamber in the annular groove of the working part of the rotor. The losses on friction and cavitation decrease and the reliability increases.

  • Publication number: 20080247897
Abstract: A hydrogen G-cycle rotary vane internal combustion engine has a sodium vapor chamber transferring excess combustion heat into combustion chambers. An active water cooling system captures heat from the engine housing stator, rotor, and sliding vanes and transfers it back into the combustion cycle by premixing it with hydrogen to reduce peak combustion temperature and with an early an late stage combustion chamber injection to help transfer heat from the sodium vapor chamber, to control chamber temperature, and to increase chamber vapor pressure. A combustion chamber sealing system includes axial seals between the rotor and the stator, vane face seals, and toggling split vane seals between the outer perimeters of the sliding vanes and the stator. Sliding vanes reciprocate laterally in and out of the rotor assisted by a vane belting system. A thermal barrier coating minimizes heat transfer and thermal deformation. Solid lubricants provide high temperature lubrication and durability.

  • Patent number: 7351047
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved swash plate type variable capacity fluid machine which is fluid-tight, simple in structure, quiet in operation, and highly durable, yet without increasing its size, weight, and the amount of power loss. The swash plate type variable capacity fluid machine includes: a cone; a disk; an enclosure wall whose inner shpherical surface surrounds the outer circumference of the disk; and a partition plate movably fitted in a groove of the cone. The cone and the disk are arranged to confront each other on an abutment line, thereby defining a plurality of variable capacity compartments. Supplying/discharging holes are provided to communicate with the variable capacity compartments, supplying and discharging a fluid there from. A synchronous mechanism causes the cone and the disk to rotate about their center axis in synchronization.

  • Patent number: 6135745
Abstract: A vane actuation mechanism for an axial vane rotary device includes a cylindrical outer housing that defines an internal cylindrical chamber. A rotor assembly having a drive shaft is rotatably mounted within the internal cylindrical chamber. A cylindrical guide slot is held in proper rotational position within the internal cylindrical chamber. A plurality of modified vanes are disposed on the rotor core. The modified vane has a recess in the top of the vane. A shear block having a general "T" shape is disposed in the recess of the vane and is secured to the vane. Part of the shear block is disposed within the guide slot to act as a guide member. The guide slot can be formed from a single cylindrical member. The single cylindrical member is cut to form two cylindrical guide slot members. The edges of the cylindrical guide slot members form the guide slot. The guide slot urges the shear block as the vanes rotate.
