  • Patent number: 10634141
Abstract: To be as lightweight and compact, for example for automotive technology, a scroll compressor further includes an axial guide that supports the movable compressor body to prevent movements in the direction parallel to a centre axis of the stationary compressor body and, in the event of movements, guides it in the direction transverse to the centre axis. A coupling prevents the movable compressor body from rotating freely. The axial guide supports a compressor body base, which carries the scroll vane, of the second compressor body against an axial support face, in that the axial support face abuts a sliding body such that it is slidable transversely to the centre axis. The sliding body is slidable transversely to the centre axis, on a carrier element that is arranged in the compressor housing.

Abstract: A compressor includes a housing, a partition, a first scroll, a second scroll, and a valve assembly disposed within the second scroll. The valve assembly includes a valve housing, a valve body, and a first biasing member configured to displace the valve body from a first position to a second position relative to the valve housing. When in the first position, the valve body inhibits fluid communication between a fluid source and one of a series of compression pockets formed by the first and second scroll. When in the second position, the valve body allows fluid communication between the conduit and one or more of the series of compression pockets. The valve body is displaceable between the first and second positions in response to a change in operating temperature of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 10502211
Abstract: A scroll-type compressor includes a compression-chamber-forming member, a housing, an injection passage part, and a relief mechanism. The compression-chamber-forming member forms a compression chamber and has a movable scroll and a fixed scroll. The housing forms a back pressure chamber. Refrigerant to apply back pressure to the compression-chamber-forming member is accumulated in the back pressure chamber. The injection passage part is linked to the compression chamber. The relief mechanism is configured to establish a communication between the compression chamber and the back pressure chamber communicating when injection pressure of the refrigerant flowing from the injection passage part into the compression chamber is higher than the pressure in the back pressure chamber.

  • Patent number: 10215175
Abstract: A compressor may include a non-orbiting scroll, an orbiting scroll, a drive shaft, a bearing housing and an annular seal. The non-orbiting scroll includes a first spiral wrap. The orbiting scroll includes an end plate having a second spiral wrap ending from a first side of the end plate and an annular hub extending from a second side of the end plate. The first and second spiral wraps cooperate to compress working fluid from a suction pressure to a discharge pressure. The drive shaft includes a crankpin received in the hub and drives the orbiting scroll. The bearing housing rotatably supports the drive shaft and may define a biasing chamber containing working fluid biasing the orbiting scroll toward the non-orbiting scroll in an axial direction. The annular seal may engage a diametrical surface of the hub and engage the bearing housing, thereby defining the biasing chamber.

Abstract: A bush bearing and a scroll compressor including a bush bearing are provided. A boss of an orbiting scroll may be inserted into and coupled to a boss coupling groove of a rotational shaft, and thus, an outer circumferential surface of a bush bearing may wholly contact an inner circumferential surface of the boss coupling groove, thereby decreasing wear of the bush bearing. Further, friction loss in the bush bearing may be reduced, and thus, compression efficiency and reliability may be enhanced, noise may be reduced, and material costs may be reduced. Furthermore, despite that the bush bearing is formed in a ring shape and press-fitted to the boss, as the bush bearing may be formed of a plastic material having an ether ketone bonding in consideration of a thermal expansion rate, an elongation, and a press-fit range, the bush bearing may be effectively prevented from being detached from the boss, thereby enhancing a reliability of a compressor.
