Complete pump disassembly by one manually operated clamp. Gear shaft diameters differ assuring correct assembly. Mount receives pump, tie rods sealing pump and securing to mount. Mount allows pump removal without changing pump-drive alignment. Pin and groove engagement of pump to mount allows 90° interval pump ports orientation. Pump displacement is altered with interchangeable gears and drive end bearing blocks.

    Abstract: A gear pump in which a drive shaft is telescoped into a bore in a spur gear and is held against rotation relative to the gear by means of a key fitting into keyways formed in the shaft and in the bore of the gear. To retain the shaft against axial movement relative to the gear, a spring steel ring is formed with a radially extending slot having a transverse width just slightly greater than the transverse width of the key. The ring is collapsed hoopwise into a groove in the shaft and is positioned such that the slot in the ring is alined axially with the keyway in the shaft. When the shaft is telescoped to a predetermined depth in the bore in the gear, the ring expands hoopwise and snaps into a groove formed in the wall of the bore. The coaction of the ring with the two grooves locks the shaft against axial movement relative to the gear.

    Abstract: A rotary pump has a block with inlet and outlet ducts and ports. A pump housing forming a pump cavity and accommodating working means of the pump, e.g., gears, is located on one side of the pump block, whereas drive means such as a magnetic coupling are placed on the other side of the block. In the case of a gear pump, the driving gear is connected to the drive magnet of the coupling through a drive shaft which passes through the axial bore in the block. The drive gear meshes with a driven gear which is mounted on a second shaft, also supported in bushings in the block. One set of ends of the shafts extends outside the pump housing and are inserted into bushings loosely fitted in recesses of a bearing support plate. This plate is attached to the block by removable screws extending through holes in the supporting plate and pump housing.

    Abstract: A cartridge for a peristaltic pump comprises two parts having a frusto-conical bore extending through the two parts and a dovetail section groove encircling the bore at the joint between the two parts. A liquid carrying tube extends into the cartridge and has a convolution encircling the bore. The tube has an integral dovetail section rib extending along the length thereof which engages in the dovetail section groove encircling the bore to locate the tube in the bore. The cartridge is used with a pump having a rotor with one or more rollers mounted eccentrically thereon to rotate about axes convergent with the rotor axis. The rollers compress and flatten the tube where they engage it so that as the rollers rotate around the bore in the cartridge, liquid in the tube is displaced along the tube in a continuous flow.
