Abstract: Identification markers and identification methods for solid objects, including metallic objects, are disclosed, the marker integrated with the object so that it is neither optically visible nor removable without destruction or impairment of the object. The marker is more radio opaque than the base material forming the object in the region of marker location and includes an identifying indicia thereon.

Abstract: A training weapon for use in firearm training simulations involving multiple participants each of whom is armed with a training weapon. The training weapon includes a trigger which is coupled with a switch that is part of an electrical circuit including a power supply and an indicator light. The trigger and switch being arranged such that when the trigger is depressed the switch closes the circuit thereby turning on the indicator light.

Abstract: A safety device for firearms includes a scanner for scanning in a user's finger or thumb print, and a microprocessor for storing the data associated with the fingerprint. The microprocessor can also be programmed to store the name, address, phone number, and social security number of the user. The device also includes at least two indicator lamps to inform the user whether the system is armed or unarmed, and to provide an indication when the battery is low. A solenoid activated spring loaded mechanism defeats operation of the firing pin thus rendering the firearm inoperable. The mechanism is designed to make the firearm appear to malfunction.

Abstract: A weapon including a housing, a firing mechanism, and an electronic tag providing at least a unique identification of the weapon. The electronic tag may be located within the housing in a location normally physically inaccessible to users of the weapon.
