The mechanism including a disassembler, sear catcher lever, sear catcher and a sear catcher spring. The disassembler has an eccentric pin. Rotation of the dissembler moves the sear catcher lever forward. The sear catcher spring pushes the sear catcher which abuts the other end of sear catcher lever. The sear catcher can catch the sear as soon as the sear is pressed downwards around the sear pin by the slide, and it can hold the sear beneath the plane of cocking of the firing pin. At the same time, the sear catcher blocks the firing pin safety lever if the sear catcher lever is in its utmost forward position. • Patent number: 8307578
Abstract: A handy time-saving finger-tip device facilitating more convenient release of an magazine-clip from a gun such as an AR-15 rifle, some of which magazine/release-buttons are configured with a statute-mandated recessed sub-button therein, heretofore requiring dexterous insertion of a separate pocket-carried cylindrical probe-tool. The notion hereof being to supplement actuation of the present awkwardly operating release-button, with a more convenient and reliable release device referred to as the MagMagnet™, which I set forth herein in two iterations. The first embodiment preferably being an index-finger stall adapted with an insertion-pin; while my second embodiment is a self-retaining version, which attaches directly into the existing magazine/release sub-button instead of being retained upon the shooter's index-finger.

Abstract: A jig for supporting an M1911 pistols includes a superstructure rigidly mounted onto a base so as to extend upwardly therefrom. The superstructure may be positioned substantially medially along the length of the base. A first detent is formed in the base, adjacent the superstructure and positioned substantially medially across the width. The first detent is shaped to accept cradled snugly therein a lowermost portion of a pistol grip of the M1911 pistol. A second detent is formed in the base, substantially underneath the superstructure, and is shaped to snugly accept cradled therein a hammer portion of the M1911 pistol. An uppermost end of the superstructure has a barrel receiving yoke shaped to receive cradled snugly therein the barrel of the M1911 pistol. The second detent in the base is directly underneath the yoke so as to maintain the barrel of the M1911 pistol pointing vertically upwards.

Abstract: A multifunction tool kit for firearm maintenance has a main tool body having one or more facilities for connection of various tool components. The present invention may include a first tool component having an attachment facility adapted to removably connect to one of the facilities for connection of the main tool body. At least one of the opposing ends of the first tool component may terminate in a feature adapted to fit one or more components on a firearm. A feature may be exposed and extend outwards from the opposing sides of the main tool body when the first tool component is connected to the main tool body. The invention may also include additional tool components, such as a thread protector, an alignment gauge having a grease pot with grease cap, a throat erosion gauge, a spacer with pin punch, a stock liner tool, a muzzle wear gauge, and a handle.

  • Patent number: 8069606
Abstract: This tool makes it possible to more conveniently handle the “selector” element on a conventional M16/M4 family weapon when the selector must be removed or reinserted. As will be appreciated by those in the gun repair trade, in the disassembly or reassembly of such weapons the handling of the selector element is a tricky and painstaking activity. This disclosed tool handily is an assist in such activities. The tool is inserted in the opening in the receiver of the selector element and rotated. An offset circular cam means on the tool when rotated will handily depress the detent element (which necessarily must be done and it also has a spring beneath it). A bumper end cap at the distal end of the tool will carefully engage the selector element to gently push on it if needed (or in the reverse operation for the tool to be gently backed away there from as the selector is repositioned into the weapon).

  • Publication number: 20110162248
Abstract: A mechanism for the disassembly of a handgun without triggering, which prevents the consequential accidental firing of a cartridge in the chamber upon triggering. That way the cocking of the firing pin is prevented and the triggering is blocked.
