The stabilizing shooting rest further includes a yoke serving as a rest at the distal end of the telescopic tube assembly, the yoke is substantially U-shaped and configured to stabilize a desired portion of a rifle, gun, or crossbow while the wearer and user of the telescoping gun rest apparatus is shooting.
