Abstract: A method of providing an essential oil extract of capsicum, and the extract itself, are provided. The extract contains capsaicinoid and terpene. Capsicum from which seeds and stems have been removed is mixed, in powder form, with a solvent, especially pentane, to dissolve at least some of the capsicum. During or after the mixing step, the liquid solution of capsicum in the solvent is brought to a temperature of less than or equal to 64° C. to significantly reduce the solvent content thereof and produce an essential oil extract that contains capsaicinoid and terpene, especially in the naturally occurring ratio thereof.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of nutritional supplement compositions to overcome nutritional deficiencies typically associated with the normal mammalian diet. The compositions of the present invention are obtained by combining fish oil, garlic powder, rutin, capsaicin, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium, and one or more juice concentrates.
Abstract: A cancer cell growth suppressor or a cell differentiation inducer is provided which contains as an effective component a water-soluble component of Capsicum Annuum L.Var.grossumn which is a Solanacede plant. It is manufactured by mixing dried powder of fruits of Capsicum Annuum L.Var.grossumn and water for 40 hours or longer while maintaining them at normal temperature or higher, and obtaining an aqueous solution or a water-soluble component by separating the mixture into solid and liquid. A component having cancer cell growth suppressing properties or cell differentiation inducting properties, which could not be extracted sufficiently in a normal, short-time water-soluble component-extracting step, is reliably contained. It is used as a cancer cell growth suppressor or a cell differentiation inducer for treating cancer carriers or preventing recurrence.

Abstract: A compound and method of using such compound is disclosed that, when administered to an animal, is capable of arresting the inflammatory response in affected tissues and facilitates the repair and maintenance of damaged tissues in the joints of vertebrates. The combination of natural physiological metabolites and herbal phytochemicals is used to treat connective tissue diseases, the composition preferably orally administered. One embodiment of the composition includes chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine that, when ingested by a vertebrate, suppresses the degradation of connective tissue by an autoimmune response. A preferred composition of the present invention includes a palatability agent, an herbal phytochemical, and a metabolic precursor that synergistically acts to increase blood circulation, thereby enhancing transport of the phytochemical and metabolic precursors to an affected site whereby deleterious inflammatory byproducts are removed.

Abstract: A method of use of the Capsaicin in treatment and removal of warts and moles is disclosed. The method include applying a sufficient amount of Capsaicin topically on warts and moles daily for a period time, whereby treatment, including disappearance of the warts and the moles, atrophication and de-coloration of the treated area, can be achieved. The concentration of Capsaicin is in a range from about 0.010% to about 0.200% (w/w). The Capsaicin can be applied topically through the use of a transdermal patch, or as a cream, lotion or ointment. Additionally, the Capsaicin can be used in a base of aloe vera.
