Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing a profiled semifinished fiber composite (FC) product from a semifinished product (2) that is made of dry fiber or prepreg material and is moved through a shaping device (1) in the longitudinal direction (L) of the semifinished product (2). The semi-finished product (2) is moved through the shaping device (1) on a support film in the longitudinal direction (L) of the shaping device (1), between the facing shaping contours of tool parts (11a, 12a). The shaping contours of the cross-sections of the tool parts (11a, 12a) continuously change from a cross-sectional contour in the feeding zone to a shaping contour in the discharge zone. Furthermore, the support piece in the drawing-in zone of the shaping device (2) is made to oscillate such that the semifinished product is transformed into a shapeable state as a result of the frictional heat generated between the support piece and the semifinished product.

Abstract: A multiple zone temperature controller for a hot runner injection molding system. The temperature controller includes inputs for signals from two or more thermocouples corresponding to two or more heating zones. The thermocouple inputs are time-division multiplexed and the output is amplified and input to a microcontroller. The microcontroller manages and controls operation of power switching stages for controlling the power supplied to heating elements corresponding to each of the heating zones. The multiplexer is a low impedance switch.

Abstract: Method and system for making a product (1) having a solid body (2) and having one or more cavities (3, 15) inside that solid body, with a broad surface and a small thickness. A liquid material is provided within a mould (4), and solidification of the liquid material is controlled in a position dependent way from the outside of the product. When using a thermoplastic material, the system may cool said liquid material less in areas that are projections of the cavities on the outside of the product on its broad surface. When using a thermosetting material the system may include means (5, 9) for controlled heating the liquid material, excluding the projections of the intended cavities. Once part of the product has sufficiently solidified outside the intended cavities the liquid material is driven from the intended cavities by means of a fluid. In the product some cavities may be provided with a conductive layer or structure, e.g.

Abstract: In a molding apparatus in which upper and lower dies are held in a bearing, there are provided pipes for introducing N2 gas used for controlling temperatures of balls of the bearing, whereby difference in temperature between the guide member and the upper and lower dies is controlled. With this structure, it is possible to prevent generation of an excessive compressive force between the upper die and the lower die and the bearing, to thereby prevent breakage of the dies. Further, it is also possible to prevent formation of gaps between the upper die and the lower die and the bearing, to thereby mold an optical element excellent in accuracy of an optical axis.

Abstract: The process and the apparatus serve for the blow moulding of containers (2). A parison (1) composed of a thermoplastic material is first subjected to heat conditioning along a transport path in the region of a heating section (30). The parison is then subjected to a forming process within a blow mould with exposure to blowing pressure to give heat container. The heat conditioning of the parisons is carried out by a plurality of mutually superposed radiant heaters (41). The blow moulding of the container is followed by wall-thickness measurement at at least one level within the height of the container. The heating power of a radiant heater associated with this height level is controlled. The control system receives a prescribed wall-thickness value as required value and the measured wall thickness as actual value.
