  • Patent number: 6790020
Abstract: Disclosed is a system in which carbon dioxide is supplied to a pressure chamber of a molten resin preparing apparatus which has established a certain temperature environment to diffuse the carbon dioxide in a material synthetic resin in a molten state. After turning the material synthetic resin into a gas-dissolving-resin in the pressure chamber, the gas-dissolving-resin is supplied to a mold space of a molding apparatus for compression molding. The pressure inside the mold space is quickly lowered by raising an upper mold of the molding apparatus quickly, whereby a foamed article is produced from the gas-dissolving-resin in the mold space.

Abstract: The invention is a pressure reducing valve for reducing the pressure supplied to a head tooling hydraulic positioning valve and a controller for bypassing the pressure reducing valve in a blow-molding machine. A pressure-reducing valve and electrical controller are used to regulate the pressure of a cylinder that controls the position of a head tooling pin and die assembly in a blow-molding machine. The invention reduces pressure during all time intervals except during a “parison formation” interval of the cycle. The invention is also a process for regulating the pressure of a cylinder that controls the position of a head tooling pin and die assembly in a blow-molding machine and for bypassing the pressure reducing valve in a blow-molding machine.

Abstract: An electromagnetic coaxial driving injection apparatus, having a linear motor for driving injection and a rotation motor for metering. The linear motor and the rotation motor of both the injection and metering motors and an injection screw are set on a common axis. A connecting device connects moving parts of the motors with the injection screw. Stationary parts of the motors are fastened on a frame and forward-backward moving unit, not moving during injection and metering. Due to the arrangement of the moving parts and the injection screw on a single axis, moving parts are lessened, and transmission losses are minimized. Since the number of structural parts is low, only the moving parts of the motors move during injection while the stationary parts thereof remain at rest, thus greatly reducing inertia.

A batch of molds are sequenced in an order in which a particular transportation vehicle is to be loaded. The parts are inspected and are sent to either a minor repair area, a major repair area, or directly to a trimming and packaging area. From the packaging area, the parts are moved to a relatively small shipping area where the batch of parts are already ordered to be effectively loaded directly onto the transportation vehicle. As the finished parts come off line in the batch particular to the transportation vehicle, a large shipping area and inventory area is avoided.

Abstract: A method of this invention is an injection compression molding method of molding a thin molding, using an injection compression molding machine including: a pair of a movable mold and a stationary mold defining a molding space; a movable die plate on which the movable mold is mounted; a stationary die plate on which the stationary mold is mounted; an injection unit for injecting a molding material into the molding space; and a mold clamping unit for causing the movable die plate to move toward and away from the stationary die plate, capable of controlling a clamping pressure for pressing the movable die plate toward the stationary die plate while the injection unit is injecting the molding material into the molding space. This method includes a nonloaded flow step of controlling the mold clamping unit in such a manner that any resistance is not exerted substantially against flow of the molding material injected into the molding space by the injection unit, during the injecting step.

  • Patent number: 6604931
Abstract: A rotational molding oven for forming an object from a mold containing resin therein. The oven includes a cavity receiving the mold therein and a combustion chamber for providing heat inside of the cavity. A spool is rotatively positioned within the cavity, the sides of which spool substantially form the sides of the cavity, and a drive tube engages the mold and extends between first and second flanged disks of the spool. A first motor is positioned outside the cavity and rotates the spool and a second motor is positioned outside the cavity and rotates the mold within the spool. Heat in the cavity melts the resin within the mold and rotating the spool and mold by the first and second motors causes the melted resin to be evenly distributed throughout the mold. The drive tube may be selectively positioned at a peripheral edge or at a center of the spool.

Abstract: Injection molding machines must be provided with devices which ensure that the mold mounting plates when in open position cannot inadvertently close, wherein the conventional safety devices include a toothed locking bar disposed between two mold mounting plates and are provided with a ratchet mechanism, but which obstructs accessibility in the space between the two mold mounting plates, so that according with the present invention a blocking unit is disposed outside the space between two mold mounting plates for engagement of the drive unit of the closing unit to thereby prevent an inadvertent closure.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for instructing an operator during maintenance and/or repair work on a tablet press. The process is performed by a computer. The process includes selecting a tablet press function, whereby selection is read by the computer. A list of function sequences is output to an output device in accordance with the step of selecting. Each function sequence corresponds to repair/maintenance information pertaining to the selected tablet press function. A function sequence is selected from the list of function sequences. Finally, the selected sequence is output as a video sequence and/or an audio sequence.

  • Patent number: 6544023
Abstract: The invention relates to an industrial data transmission system for the registering of process parameters in a periodic bus cycle with a fixed time frame, a synchronizing signal within each cycle having the effect in each case that a multiplicity of process parameters are simultaneously registered and recorded and, in a subsequent data exchange phase, are transmitted to the open-loop and/or closed-loop process control system. In this system, all the time-critical process input and output parameters are registered simultaneously. In a subsequent open-loop and/or closed-loop process control phase, a processing of the high-priority process data takes place. These data are used in particular for plastics injection-molding machines for detecting the changeover point. Furthermore, use is made of a machine production cycle with bus subeycles, which may respectively have a synchronizing signal and different information contents and/or lengths.
