  • Patent number: 4997359
Abstract: An apparatus for coating molds to make hard gelatin capsules has a dish for holding a bath of liquid gelatin. A multi-well tray is submerged in the bath to establish a plurality of fluid passageways through the bath and to create a pool of liquid gelatin in each of the wells. A drive unit, having a pair of counterrotating gears, moves gelatin through the passageways and pools to maintain a substantially uniform gelatin temperature throughout the bath. Capsule molds are periodically submerged into the pools and then withdrawn to manufacture the hard gelatin capsules.

  • Patent number: 4521365
Abstract: An apparatus and method for manufacturing elastomer surgical gloves or the like is disclosed. Ordinarily, a glove mold having a handshaped mold member with spaced fingers is dipped into a tank containing a liquid polymer. As the glove mold is slowly withdrawn, polymer latex webs tend to form between the fingers of the mold. In order to prevent the formation of these webs, small objects such as polyethylene balls are moved fairly rapidly along the surface of the polymer. These small objects pass through the spaces between the fingers to prevent the webs from forming.

  • Patent number: 4269577
Abstract: A production line for the manufacture of (unreinforced, reinforced or prestressed) concrete comprising concrete casting means, a circuit for hardening it and means for removing the hardened elements. It includes a chain of floats adapted to be moved in a moat of liquid and means for placing the concrete elements which have just been cast, on said floats, which by moving in the moat, transport the concrete elements through the hardening circuit, means being provided to bring back the floats to the concrete casting means. The installation is applied in the manufacture of piles, posts for electric cables, slabs, beams, panels and curbs.
