Sets Of Shaping Couples Comprising An Endless Surface For Press Forming, Reshaping (plural Stage Or Pass) Or Vulcanizing Patents (Class 425/335)
  • Patent number: 5352110
Abstract: A molding device for compacting a fiber reinforced resinous material to form an article of manufacture in which reinforcement fibers contained in the fiber reinforced resinous material are oriented as desired. The device includes a die; a roll opposed to the die; a compressing mechanism for pressing one of the die and the roll against the other of the die and the roll; and a driving mechanism for reciprocating and/or rotating one of the die and the roll relative to the resinous material. In this construction, the fiber reinforced resinous material is shaped into a predetermined configuration by compressing a number of times the fiber reinforced resinous material delivered by the pressing mechanism until the fiber reinforced resinous material is compacted to a predetermined degree of compression.

  • Patent number: 5330341
Abstract: Continuous impression forming of three-dimensional products from heated, formable thermoplastic materials between top and bottom mold carriages each having a three-dimensional forming belt mold revolvable around the carriage. Each three-dimensional forming belt mold includes a flexible silicone rubber mold adhered to a multi-ply woven fabric belt. A surface of desired shape on one revolving rubber mold mates with the desired shape of an opposed revolving rubber mold forming a continuously moving mold channel between the mold belts into which is fed hot thermoplastic material at moldable temperature. After discharging molded plastic product from the exit of the moving mold channel, localized surface heat in the rubber molds resulting form contact with hot plastic is removed by air blown directly onto the rubber mold surfaces. Each carriage frame includes a back-up plate coated with low friction coefficient material over which slides a continuously moving belt mold.

  • Patent number: 5320858
Abstract: The invention is a continuous process and a product of the process for preparing a low fat content chip-like baked snack food from a composition containing at least one ingredient having starch. Water and the ingredient having starch comprise substantially all of the ingredients of the composition. The method involves mixing and heating the composition in a cooker extruder or continuous mixer to form a dough-like consistency. In the most preferred embodiments of the invention the ingredient including starch is either a corn or a potato ingredient. The heating is conducted until the composition obtains a temperature of from about 130.degree. F. to about 260.degree. F. The composition is extruded under a pressure drop which substantially avoids expansion of the extrudate to obtain an extrudate having a water content of from about 25% by weight to about 60% by weight. The extrudate is sheeted, while hot.

Abstract: An apparatus for continuously stretching confectionary dough, bread dough, and the like, is provided. The apparatus comprises a conveyor mechanism including an entrance belt conveyor, an intermediate belt conveyor, and an exit belt conveyor, and a roller mechanism to roll out a strip of dough cooperatively with the conveyor mechanism. The angles between the upper flights of the entrance and intermediate belt conveyors and the straight portion of the roller mechanism can be adjusted in response to the change in the dough thickness and properties.A first variable speed drive device moves the entrance belt conveyor, and a second variable speed drive device moves the intermediate and exit belt conveyors. A control device adjusts the speed ratio between the first variable speed drive device and the second variable speed drive device, in response to the change in the thickness of the dough supplied onto the apparatus and to the change in the production amount.

  • Patent number: 4692107
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously producing a strip of dough which is quantified in its flow rate and controlled in its dimensions while the dough is conveyed. The apparatus comprises a dough feed conveyor having a weighing device, a constant speed conveyor provided thereon a dough defining means, and a roller mechanism disposed over both the two conveyors and having an endless roller pass with a straight portion facing the conveyors. The dough fed between the roller mechanism and the two conveyors is thickened or stretched in response to the speed difference of the two conveyors, so as to be made a dough strip of uniform thickness and width, without imparting the stirring force to the dough.

  • Patent number: 4647417
Abstract: A particleboard press for converting a thick mat into a thin panel has a frame, an upper beam and a lower beam carried on the frame and vertically confronting each another, respective upper and lower platens carried on the beams and vertically confronting each other, and respective upper and lower belts having stretches engaged under and over the upper and lower platens, respectively. The belts are synchronously driven so as to advance a mat in a transport direction through the press between the platens. One of the beams is vertically displaceable on the frame relative to the other beam and its platen has relative to the direction a downstream calibration portion and an upstream compression portion at least limitedly vertically displaceable relative to the one beam and the downstream calibration portion.

Abstract: A belt-type press for making particleboard has a longitudinal row of transverse frames through which pass upper and lower longitudinally extending press beams extending along and carried on the row of frames flanking respective heated press platens in turn flanking stretches of respective upper and lower belts driven to move a mat of particles to be pressed along the path in a transport direction. The upper beam is pressed down by a plurality of substantially identical hydraulic actuators to compress the mat between the belts with a relatively high pressure in an upstream compression region of the press and with a relatively low pressure in a downstream compression region of the press. The upper platen and beam have a downstream calibration portion and an upstream compression portion, the latter being elastically deflectable upward relative.

  • Patent number: 4634364
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the positive drawing to great lengths of lumps of dough already pre-lengthened. This device is inserted between the shaper-lengthener and the chute in the automatic sequence of the different phases of treatment of an industrial manufacturing line for long loaves. This device is characterized by having a turning group formed of a drive shaft driving in rotation, two series of discs diverging either side of the median plane and whose volume determines a drum, this turning group being subject to a continuous movement of rotation, and taking in the pre-lengthened lumps of dough and giving them back drawn after a trajectory of approximately a semicircle across a partial annular space making them roll against a fixed shell. The invention concerns installations for the automatic shaping of long loaves.
