  • Patent number: 6805541
Abstract: A semiconductor device is retained on a retaining section. A mask is set on the semiconductor device and has an opening at which part of the semiconductor device is exposed. An extruding section is moved by a first drive section over an opening in the mask and, during this movement, extrudes a fluidizing resin into the opening in the mask. A squeegee is moved by a second drive section over the opening in the mask to allow a movement of the fluidizing resin present over the opening which is extruded into the opening from an extruding section and a removal of any excessive resin from the plane of the opening.

  • Patent number: 6746225
Abstract: A system for the spray forming manufacturing of near-net-shape molds, dies and related toolings, wherein liquid material such as molten metal, metallic alloys, or polymers are atomized into fine droplets by a high temperature, high velocity gas and deposited onto a pattern. Quenching of the in-flight atomized droplets provides a heat sink, thereby allowing undercooled and partially solidified droplets to be formed in-flight. Composites can be formed by combining the atomized droplets with solid particles such as powders, whiskers or fibers.

  • Patent number: 6709254
Abstract: A support for a web forming machine which allows for vertical adjustment of a web forming belt with respect to at least one die head positioned above the web forming belt, and allows for tilting of the web forming belt. The support allows linear motion along a y-axis defined by a length of a guide shaft while preventing linear motion along a x-axis and a z-axis, e.g. the two axes perpendicular to the y-axis. Further, the support allows rotational or axial motion about the x-axis perpendicular to the y-axis but prevents rotational or axial motion about the y-axis and the z-axis.

  • Patent number: 6702966
Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing cement fiber sheets by supplying slurry primarily including fibers and cement as main material components onto a permeable sheet, and suctioning and dewatering the slurry. The method includes a foreign matter removing operation for removing foreign matter in the slurry material before supplying it to the permeable sheet, a thickness control operation for bringing the slurry to a specified thickness after the foreign matter removing process, and a leveling operation for smoothing the slurry surface after the thickness control process. Thus, treatment for foreign matter contained in slurry as well as thickness control, is throughly carried out, so that the product surface quality is ensured.

  • Publication number: 20020195164
Abstract: A fluidizing method transports particulates by gravity flow but passes the particulates through a fluidizer which is partitioned by a porous distributor plate to form first and second chambers and wherein the particulate materials pass through said first chamber which is in gaseous communication with said second chamber via the porous distributor plate. Gas is delivered to the second chamber at a pressure sufficient to generate a gas bearing between the porous distributor plate and the particulate material. The gas is permitted to migrate through the particulate material, but it is then vented to the surrounding atomosphere without causing substantial turbulence in the particulate material and to reduce tendencies for dusting and separation of the particulates into sizes.

  • Patent number: 6494704
Abstract: Mold press apparatus for use in the manufacture of molded articles, particularly starch-bound containers and other articles. The mold press apparatus includes a planar array of female mold halves and a corresponding planar array of male mold halves. The planar array of mold halves remain substantially coplanar throughout the process of selectively mating and separating the male and female mold halves. When used to manufacture molded articles from aqueous starch-based compositions, the molds are equipped with venting means, such as vent holes and/or a vent gap, which allow for the escape of water vapor from the mold cavities defined by the mated male/female mold pairs. A suction removal system may be used to remove the molded articles from the mold press apparatus, typically from the female mold halves. The demolded articles are deposited on a conveyor system equipped with individual nests for each article.
