Abstract: A molding tool for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced plastic aerodynamic aircraft component, which aircraft component, in order to form several bays arranged on the inside and delimited by an outer skin and spars arranged spaced apart from each other, in each case includes a multi-part mold core that matches the shape of the respective bay, wherein to conform to local skin reinforcements and/or spar reinforcements that extend into at least one of the bays, the multi-part mold core includes four or five core parts, of which two core parts comprising a triangular cross section are arranged along opposing edges of the bay, which edges interact with two or three core parts that fill the space between the two triangular core parts, which space extends diagonally relative to the bay.
Abstract: A curing unit (1) (40) wherein a mold (2) is defined by first and second releasable half molds (3,4) moving in relation to each other along a first axis (6); the first half mold (3) being designed to turn about a second axis (30) perpendicular to the first axis (6) by virtue of actuators (31) which, when the half molds (3,4) are released, can turn the first half mold (3) to and from a maintenance position wherein its concave side faces upwardly.
Abstract: A bladderless tire mold press for tires including lower and upper platens and a mechanism for moving the platens relatively toward one another from an open position to a closed molding position. Each of the platens includes side wall molds for molding the tire sidewalls and thread molds for molding the tire thread. Each of the platens further includes a mechanism for molding tire beads. The tire bead molding mechanism including central mechanisms which are movable relative to their respective platens for insertion into the center of the tire.
Abstract: The method of repairing a tooth involves positioning a selected medium contiguous a location of the tooth to be repaired, placing a heat-shrinkable overlay around the tooth for covering the selected medium, heating the overlay to a temperature sufficient to cause shrinkage thereof and thereby operating on the medium. The overlay is subsequently removed to expose a repaired tooth requiring little or no additional post-cure finishing.
Abstract: Dental cream in contact with a polyolefin resin surface of a package such as a laminate tube, a mechanical dispenser or a flexible sachet. The dental cream contains a dentally acceptable water-insoluble alkaline earth metal salt, a liquid vehicle and an alkali metal carboxymethyl cellulose gelling agent. The liquid vehicle contains water, glycerine and sorbitol and, as an additive to prevent syneresis due to contact between the dental cream and polyolefin resin, a stabilizer in the form of parahydroxybenzoate ester.
Abstract: A method is disclosed for automatically disassembling and reassembling a mold for making a tire. Apparatus for automatically performing the entire tire-manufacturing operation is also disclosed.
Abstract: A casting or injection mold for vehicle tires comprises two separable half-shells together defining an annular cavity into which a segmented core is introduced, radially inwardly converging core segments alternating with parallel-sided or radially inwardly diverging core segments to facilitate extraction of the core from the molded tire. In operation, one or more of the non-converging segments are immobilized within the mold, with the aid of mating formations on these segments and on the two half-shells, while the converging segments are urged radially inwardly by resilient or fluidic forces. In a specific embodiment these forces are supplied by a contractile annular spring with projections received in axially extending undercuts of all the segments.
