Particular Fold Structure (e.g., Beveled, Etc.) Patents (Class 428/130)
  • Patent number: 5842315
Abstract: A corrugated board structure including an upper layer of corrugated board, a bottom film and a middle layer of PU foam. Each side of the bottom PVC film is formed with an inward bent upright folded wall which, during the foaming and expansion procedure of the PU foam, restricts the foaming space so as to continuously produce solid foam structure. The middle PU foam makes the upper and lower layers tightly adhered to each other as an integral body. An edge of the projection on one side and an edge of one of the front and rear ends is free from any PU foam and bottom film so that two adjacent corrugated boards can be overlaid and connected.

  • Patent number: 5194309
Abstract: A flat web-shaped blank is formed with a pair of parallel recesses, each of which defines an angle of less than 90.degree. to permit the faces of the recess to press against each other when the side sections of the blank are pivoted into a U-shape. The pressing of the lateral faces of the recess against each other serves to bias the side sections away from each other. The flat blank can be wound in a coil for storage and transportation purposes. The blank can be readily shaped into a U-shaped guide rail and inserted into the groove of an associated window frame portion. Shoulders on the outside of the side sections of the blank can snap fit into grooves in the walls of the groove of the window frame portion.

  • Patent number: 5165978
Abstract: This relates to the special construction of shells for closure panels of composite closures which, in production, for all practical purposes will eliminate nesting of stacked closure panels. Most specifically, each closure panel will be provided with flutes indenting the skirts thereof so as to prevent closure panels from nesting when stacked. Preferably, each closure panel is provided with at least three flutes and preferably four with the circumferential spacing of the flutes of a closure panel all being different and when the shells of the closure panels are formed in a multiple cavity die, the flute arrangement in each cavity will also be different. This will, for all practical purposes, eliminate nesting of the closure panels when stacked during production.

  • Patent number: 5118554
Abstract: Disclosed is an interleaved L-fold towel arrangement which minimizes a number of different types of commonly occurring paper towel dispensing failures. Each towel in the interleaved stack of towels in the present invention is comprises of a sheet which has been folded in half to substantially create a two-ply arrangement. A second fold is imparted to the towel substantially to the first fold thereby creating a lead flap and a trailing flap. The lead flap begins with the first fold and thereby creates a tab end which is two-ply and which will not delaminate on dispensing. The user will thus always be grasping a two-ply product as it is being dispensed thereby minimizing tear-out and tab-out failure. The lead flap preferably has less width than the trailing flap, thus limiting the amount of deformation which must be imparted by the trailing flap to the lead flap next to be dispensed to cause said lead flap to be drawn through the dispensing opening of a dispenser.

  • Patent number: 4988556
Abstract: A device for mounting a transparency. The device includes back and front sheets of transparent plastic. The outer edges of the sheets are continuously bonded together. In a preferred embodiment, an opaque coating on the front sheet defines one or more generally rectangular windows. Each window is variously sized to permit the transparency to be viewed therethrough but to prevent light from leaking around the transparency. The sheets are continuously bonded together along three sides of the window to form a pocket between the sheets for mounting the transparency. A slit is formed along a fourth side of the window for inserting the transparency into the pocket.
