  • Patent number: 8434283
Abstract: The painting method disclosed is carried out by providing a curable liquid paint composition and an edging product having a colored surface and an adhesive surface opposite to the colored surface. The colored surface of the edging product is preferably a previously manufactured surface closely matching the to-be-used paint composition once the paint composition has been permitted to cure. The edging strip is permanently affixed onto a wall to be painted with the curable paint composition, with an edge of the edging strip contacting a surface bordering the wall or surface which is not to be painted with the curable liquid paint composition. The wall is then painted with the curable liquid paint composition, and the curable liquid paint composition is partly overlapped onto the edging product. The method provides a crisp even line at the interface between the wall and the bordering surface.

  • Patent number: 8349448
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet including: a laminated structure in which a light-shielding layer, a white or silver layer, and a colored layer are laminated in this order; and at least one pressure-sensitive adhesive layer as at least one surface layer, in which at least one surface of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has L* of 30 or more and C* of 3 or more, L* representing a luminosity and C* representing a chromaticness, and in which the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet as a whole has a transmittance of a light having a wavelength of 550 nm of 0.3% or less. The pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the invention is excellent in light-shielding property irrespective of the thinness thereof as well as in decorativity due to the surface thereof that is colored with a bright color.

  • Patent number: 8114451
Abstract: A resealable package integrity closure includes a film layer forming a top of container and having a flap defining an access opening to gain access to the contents of the container. A sealing panel completely covers the flap of the film layer. A releasable adhesive is provided on either or both the film layer and the sealing panel for adhering the sealing panel to the film layer. The sealing panel is releasable from the film layer by pulling the sealing panel back in a peeling direction and reclosable against the top to seal the access opening when the sealing panel is moved back against the top. A coating of transferable material is provided on either the sealing panel or on the film layer, which is transferable therebetween, respectively, when the sealing panel is pulled back from the film layer for a first time to provide a visual indication that the closure has been previously opened.

  • Patent number: 7828923
Abstract: The invention relates to self adhesive material (SAM) using water soluble film incorporated with surfactants and/or fillers as a protective layer, eliminating the release liner (backing liner). The water soluble film incorporated with surfactants and/or fillers, used as a protective liner, provides easy breakage, faster dissolution as well as easy application to an object. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of self adhesive material (SAM) without release liner and an apparatus and a method for applying the self adhesive material (SAM) on an object.
