  • Patent number: 8241734
Abstract: This invention comprises a self-supporting, temperature-stable, indicia-bearing laminate of at least one layer of a non-oriented polyolefin film having an indicia array and a layer of a non-oriented polyolefin support film. The indicia layer laminate is formed by printing a carrier sheet with at least one layer of a printing ink comprising a mixture of particulate polyolefin, indicia material and a polyolefin-compatible resin. The polyolefin support film is printed as a layer over the indicia layer with a mixture of a polyolefin and a polyolefin-compatible resin. The printed layers are cured into non-oriented films, forming an indicia transfer. The transfer is used by removing the indicia-bearing laminate from the carrier sheet and applying the laminate to the inside surface of a rotational mold where it melts and fuses into the outer wall of a polyolefin product during the formation of the product in the rotational molding cycle.

  • Patent number: 6767604
Abstract: A flexible package has a dispensing opening with a closure label overlying the opening that is permanently attached to the package by heat sealing along an edge portion adjacent the dispensing opening. The label has a releasable adhesive on the underside of the remaining portion for selectively opening and resealing the dispensing opening. • Patent number: 6666946
Abstract: Methods of high speed coating a pigment-containing liquid coating material onto a substrate so as to avoid visible pigment separation in the coating material in its as coated state. In the method, a pigment-containing liquid coating material is applied to a substrate, while the substrate is moving at a high line speed of at least about 15.24 m/min., to form a coated layer. The coating material is applied to the substrate along a substantially straight, dynamic wetting line where the coating material first contacts the moving substrate. The coating material is of the type that will exhibit visible pigment separation on its interface surface when the coating material is coated onto the fast moving substrate, without the use of a substantially straight wetting line. The wetting line is substantially straight when a significant amount of visible pigment separation does not occur at the chosen high line speed.
