Abstract: A double eyelid forming tape or string that can form an eyelid with a clear fold easily and safely in a simple manner, and a method of manufacturing the same. An article of manufacture for forming a fold in an eyelid of a user is constructed by applying an adhesive layer on a narrow tape member, which is resiliently stretchable so as to return to its original unstretched state after being stretched, and providing holding portions having no adhering property on the surfaces at both ends thereof for holding by fingertips of the user. A fold in the eyelid of the user is formed by pressing the stretched tape member on the position of the eyelid where the user wants to form a fold in a state where both ends thereof are held and stretched, adhering the tape member thereon with the adhesive layer, and releasing the stretched tape member. Therefore, when the tape member under a tension resiliently contracts, it breaks into the eyelid and forms an eyelid having a fold.

  • Patent number: 6521309
Abstract: A double-sided single-liner pressure-sensitive adhesive tape has a first pressure-sensitive adhesive, preferably an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, on one side of a carrier web, and a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive on the other side of the carrier web. The tape is single-liner in that a double-sided release liner is wound with the double-sided tape, such that only a single release liner is required. A layer of first release material, preferably a silicone release material, is disposed on a first side of a release liner web facing the acrylic or other first pressure-sensitive adhesive. Fluorosilicone release material is disposed on the opposite surface of the release liner web facing the silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. Preferred embodiments exhibit fluorosilicone unwind along with good balance of tack, adhesion and shear.

Abstract: An adhesive preventing system containing a flexible tape member that may be in the form of either a sticker or an elongated tape is disclosed. This flexible tape member has an upper and a lower side and has two patterns printed on the upper side of the flexible tape member, one of which is printed with a material that is capable of bleeding through the flexible tape member and being dispersed into the underlying materials. A pattern which does not absorb the bleed-through material is printed on the underside of the flexible tape member. The underside of the flexible tape member also has disposed on it a frangible layer of material that does not adhere to the pattern printed on the underside of the flexible tape member. An adhesive layer is disposed over the frangible layer.

  • Patent number: 6316112
Abstract: This invention relates to anionically polymerized block copolymers comprised of at least one block of polyethylene and at least one block of a polymerized cyclic siloxane monomer wherein said cyclic siloxane monomer contains at least one functional group containing a fluorocarbon substituent, e.g., 2,4,6-tris(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)-1,3,5-trimethylcyclotrisiloxane. The fluoro-functionality may instead be introduced into the polymer by using said siloxane monomer to end cap the polymer. These copolymers can be used in extruded release coating films prepared by blending the copolymer with a film grade polymer. They can also be used to modify surface adhesion, promote flow in polymer processing or coat a polymeric surface to impart properties such as a barrier to water vapor transmission, or solvent resistance.
