Abstract: A mollusc farming machine deploys a tillage assembly connected by a support frame to a vehicle platform. The vehicle platform enables the user to mechanically traverse the tillage assembly across an aquaculture harvesting area, digging into the earth of the harvesting area in order to harvest clams and other molluscs. An agitating mechanism causes reciprocal motion of the tillage assembly in order to break up the aquaculture earth as a tilling section of the tillage assembly is displaced at an angle through the earth, forcing the earth and any buried molluscs onto the tillage section. The agitating motion further serves to sift the earth by causing dirt, plant matter and other debris to fall through spaces between a plurality of sifting rods of the tilling section, leaving behind any molluscs previously buried within the earth to be collected by workers.

A non-thermochromatic base layer of one or more colors is applied to the plastic fishing lure. This layer acts as the visual appearance of the fishing lure in the absence of temperature fluctuations. Clear extender is then used as an additive to the thermochromatic ink. This addition to the ink then allows the ink to be sprayed onto the surface of the lure. This ink-extender amalgam can be applied in multiple layers however the bottom layer must have the least amount of hue saturation. Each layer thereafter would increase in hue saturation. Multiple hue combinations can be utilized. Abstract: An electroshock wand for safely and humanely stunning and capturing aquatic creatures is provided. The electroshock wand has a body, an anode member, and a cathode member. The anode and cathode members are attached at or near the electroshock end of the body, with the anode and cathode members being axially spaced from one another. The anode and cathode members create an intense and localized electrical field between one another that momentarily stuns a target organism. The target organism, once stunned may then be collected. This device offers a nonlethal method of capturing invasive species and removing them from specific environments.

Abstract: An intelligent fishing tackle comprises a fishing line, a sinker module, a microprocessor system module and a hook module, in which the sinker module is connected on the fishing line and includes a camera module used for capturing a underwater image, the microprocessor system module judges a fishing object according to the underwater image and determines whether a control signal is generated, and the hook module is connected on the fishing line and switched to a fishing processing state according to the control signal. Whether to capture the fishing object can be judged directly under the water or the water image is transmitted to the shore for a rodster to decide whether to capture the fishing object.

  • Patent number: 7333395
Abstract: A programmable, customizable system, method, and apparatus for attracting and stimulating aquatic animals are disclosed. The present invention provides for the underwater playback of digitally prerecorded “signature” sounds of prey, and of prey being attacked and eaten, in order to attract fish and other species and stimulate them to strike and feed more aggressively. Playback is achieved by selecting any of a plurality of signature sound recordings stored on a memory device which is located and controlled above water. One sound, all sounds, or a selected sequence of sounds may be selected from the memory device to be played underwater. Underwater playback is achieved by use of a submersible transducer device which may function as both a speaker and a hydrophone. Underwater playback may be customized and controlled above water by providing a number of customized operational modes.

Abstract: An improved fishing lure which produces, transmits and modulates high frequency vibrations. The high frequency tone wire vibration is actuated upon impact of a striker against the wall of an essentially watertight housing. As the striker oscillates within the housing, high frequency vibrations and sound waves emanate from the tone wire. This invention also includes a noisemaker component specifically designed using a tone wire and a striker which can be incorporated into existing fishing lures.

Abstract: A pre-selected fish grazing system to enhance harvesting of such pre-selected fish from a body of water. The fish grazing system includes at least one conductor unit attached to a body of a pre-selected fish for acting as a guide for other preselected fish present in such body of water. A control device is disposed in such conductor unit for controlling a path the pre-selected fish is to follow. A predetermined number of buoys are strategically located in such body of water for sending communication signals to such at least one conductor unit attached to the body of the pre-selected fish to direct such pre-selected fish having such conductor unit attached thereto a desired location.

Abstract: Fishhooks (20), artificial lures (23, 35, 65, 67 and 91) or trailer rods (120) include both an anodic segment (25, 85 and 105) and a cathodic segment (27). The anodic and cathodic segments (25, 85, 105 and 27) are arranged so that immersion of fishhooks (20), artificial lures (23, 35, 65, 67 and 91) or trailer rods (120) in water establishes a galvanic cell that generates an electo-magnetic field which simulates the natural bioelectric field of living prey. A particularly preferred embodiment of the present invention interposes an insulated segment (29) between the anodic and cathodic segments (25, 85, 105 and 27) of fishhooks (20), artificial lures (23, 35, 65, 67 and 91). While galvanic action occurs between the anodic and cathodic segments, fishhooks (20) and artificial lures (23, 35, 65, 67 and 91) and trailer rods (120) in accordance with the present invention establish a constant, bioelectric simulating electromagnetic field.

  • Patent number: 7207135
Abstract: An audio fishing lure system for attracting fish using preselected audio content includes a fishing pole, a fishing line, a lure or hook, an audio source, an aural encoder, and an underwater transducer. Sound reproduced by the audio source, such as a radio, cassette player, or digital playback device, is electrically communicated to the encoder, which correspondingly generates sound waves that modulate the fishing line. The fishing line is optimized to serve as a transmission line. The audio information propagates along the fishing line, into the water, and to the transducer, where the mechanical waves are transformed to sound waves and transmitted into the water, thereby delivering sound to the region about the bait and attracting fish responsive to such content. Preferably, the audio source is provided with a selectable format of audio recordings of bait species having demonstrated or empirical attractiveness to target fish species.

The device preferably comprises a pole or rod having electrical prongs at one end which my be applied to the marine animal, thereby applying and electrical signal having a voltage, amperage and frequency that stuns and/or shocks the animal. The character of the electrical signal is such that the animal is temporarily paralyzed, so that it may be safely handled by humans for bringing it into a watercraft without otherwise damaging the animal.

  • Patent number: 7137222
Abstract: A downrigger apparatus to hold a fishing line at a selected fishing depth in game fish inhabited water, and a sound emitting device attached to the downrigger cable of the downrigger apparatus. The downrigger apparatus includes a reel and a downrigger cable spooled on the reel. The free end of the downrigger cable extends to a depth beyond the selected fishing depth. A downrigger weight is attached at the free end of the cable. A sound emitting device is attached to the downrigger cable and emits sounds attractive to the fish. Sound waves travel through the water a range extending beyond the visual range of the fish. Fish, although out of visual range of the lure, detect the sound and travel toward the source. The fish eventually comes in to visual range of the lure being trolled behind the fishing boat. The fish is attracted to and takes the lure. The sound emitting device can generate intermittent sounds.
