Abstract: A fishing pole including a handle and a seat that is integrated with the handle and structured to engage a line reel supporting a fishing line disposed about a spool of the line reel. The fishing pole further includes a flexible rod connecting to the handle and extending axially along an elongate axis. The flexible rod is structured to cast a fishing line a distance from the spool of the line reel. The flexible rod further includes at least two node locations. A plurality of rod guides are aligned with each of the at least two node locations and are operative to mitigate mechanical interaction with, and frictional drag on, the fishing line as it passes through each of the rod guides.

Abstract: A fishing device is disclosed including a fishing rod and a line guide connected to the fishing rod. A moveable or pivoting lever may be disposed adjacent to the line guide. A fishing line braking surface may disposed adjacent to the lever. The lever may be used to press the fishing line against the braking surface to slow or stop it from passing through the line guide. A finger control at the rod handle may be used to move the lever into a braking position.

Abstract: A syringe rack securable to a surface of a fixture and configured for facilitating a sterile transfer of fluid from a non-sterile environment to a sterile environment. The syringe rack includes a securing portion and a syringe-receiving station. The syringe-receiving portion is coupled to the securing portion and configured to receive the syringe in a selectively releasable coupling arrangement where the syringe is oriented such that an opening in a barrel of a syringe projects away from the fixture when the syringe is received by the syringe-receiving station and when the securing portion is secured to the surface of the fixture.

Abstract: An adjustable fishing rod handle assembly having a handle assembly and an arm support assembly. The handle assembly has an upper member, an interior bracket, and a lower member, whereby the upper member and the lower member are coupled, and the interior bracket is positioned inside the upper member and the lower member. The handle assembly and the arm support assembly are removable mounted onto a fishing rod.

Abstract: A panel marking device for marking angular cut lines on panels includes a plate, which has a straight end. An L-bracket is engaged to and extends along the straight end. Cutouts in the L-bracket distal define teeth, which engage an edge of a panel so that the plate is prevented from sliding along the edge. A dial comprising a pointer is rotationally engaged to an upper face of the plate. A fastener is engaged to the dial and is opposingly positioned on a circumference of the dial relative to the pointer. Indicia are positioned on the plate, with each indicium corresponding to a respective angle of an imaginary line, which extend from a string line engaged to the fastener through the pointer, relative to the edge of the panel. The string line can be snapped to place a linear mark on the panel that matches the respective angle.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a fishing rod which optimally locates the line guides of the rod for improved distance casting. The method includes the steps of: (i) inducing a vibratory force transversely of the elongate axis to identify node locations associated with one or more rod harmonics along the length of the rod; and (ii) placing guides at each node location for receiving fishing line. The node positions minimize the relative motion of the line guides relative to the fishing line when casting to minimize line drag while maximizing rod damping.

Abstract: The fishing line cleaner comprises a clip and a brush. The clip may removably couple to a fishing rod between a reel and a line guide. A fishing line may pass through the brush such that debris is swept from the fishing line as the fishing line is reeled onto the reel. As non-limiting examples, the debris may comprise aquatic plants and algae. The fishing line may be removed from the brush and the clip may be rotated around the fishing rod or repositioned along the fishing rod to reduce friction on the fishing line for casting.

Abstract: An apparatus removably attachable to a fishing rod includes a base configured to extend parallel to a shaft of a fishing rod and an eyelet extending outwardly from the base and the shaft of the fishing rod. The eyelet can be configured to receive a fishing line therethrough. The apparatus can include at least one pair of legs extending outwardly from the base. Each leg can be configured to extend around at least a portion of the shaft of the fishing rod. An opening can extend through the base. The opening can be configured to receive at least a portion of a fastener therethrough.

Abstract: A branch fishing rod assembly for creating a fishing rod out of a branch or stick includes a reel holder apparatus, a reel, and a plurality of eyelet apparatuses. The reel holder apparatus comprises a holder body and a pair of holder clamps coupled to the holder body to secure the holder body to a branch or a stick. The reel is selectively engageable within a reel opening of the holder body. The plurality of eyelet apparatuses each comprises an eyelet clamp to selectively engage the branch or the stick. An attachment arm is coupled to the eyelet clamp strap and an eyelet is coupled to the attachment arm. The reel is configured to secure a fishing line and the plurality of eyelet apparatuses is configured to receive the fishing line through each eyelet.

Abstract: A hook keeper configured to be mounted on a fishing reel includes a locking part and a holding part. The locking part includes a locking portion, a hole penetrating the locking portion and a slit extending from the hole to an outside surface of the locking part and extending from a first end surface to a second end surface of the locking part in a central axial direction of the hole. The holding part is configured to hold the locking part and has a joining part configured to mount the holding part on the fishing reel.

Abstract: The fishing tool includes an elongated member having a handle disposed at a first end thereof. The handle includes an open lower end. Indicia indicating various length measurements are disposed along the length of the elongated member. A scale is disposed within the elongated member, wherein the scale includes a hook operably affixed thereto, the hook extending through the open lower end. A mounting member is removably affixed to an exterior surface of the elongated member, wherein the mounting member can secure the elongated member to a mount.

Abstract: An assembly including a wearable blower having a fan, a motor, an air duct having a duct housing thereof, a handle attached to the duct housing, and a hanger disposed on the duct housing. The hanger has an attachment part attached to the duct housing and adjacent to the handle and a hanger part connected to the attachment part for holding an accessory attached to the blower. The hanger part rotates with respect to the duct housing at a first hanging position whereat the hanger part is unfolded with an opening mouth for holding the accessory of the blower and the hanger part rotates with respect to the duct housing at a second folded position. Thus, the arrangement of the hanger can help the user to hold the accessory of the blower at the work states.

The adjustable guide member is movable from a first position wherein a portion of the guide member contacts a guide surface of the base to a position wherein the portion of the guide member is positioned distant from the guide surface. The fishing accessory includes an adjustment member extending from the guide member engaged with an opening in the base wherein moving the adjustment member in one direction moves the guide member away from the guide surface and moving the adjustment member in the opposite direction moves the guide member closer to the guide surface. The position of the guide member is adjustable toward and away from the guide surface to accommodate a specific diameter fishing line.

Abstract: A multi-function tool includes a body, a clearing pin fastener, and a line holder assembly. The body includes a through-hole extending from a first surface to a second surface and defined by a threaded sidewall. The clearing pin fastener includes a head, a pointed end portion, and a threaded shank that is located between the head and the pointed end portion. The line holder assembly includes a line holder including a slit formed between a top portion and a bottom portion and configured to receive a line and a frame including a pair of opposing surfaces configured to hold the line holder in compression. The threaded shank is removably attached to the threaded sidewall so that the head is adjacent the first surface and the pointed end portion extends outward from the second surface. The line holder assembly is configured to rotate relative to the body about a pivoting axis.

Abstract: A fishing rod handle assembly configured to provide increased safety, strength and control and which may be used in combination with standard fishing rods. The fishing rod handle assembly generally includes a handle positioned transverse to the position of the standard fishing rod, such that a fisherman can utilize both hands in a side-by-side orientation for increased control and strength when pulling up on the standard fishing rod and reeling in fish. Further, the fishing rod handle assembly generally includes one or more collars connected to the handle, the one or more collars having splined recesses therein for detachably connecting the standard fishing rod to the fishing rod handle assembly, such that the fishing rod handle assembly firmly grips the standard fishing rod to prevent twisting, but does not damage or break the standard fishing rod.

Abstract: Improvements in an arm rest for a fishing pole is disclosed. The arm rest in this disclosure utilizes a replacement reel seat and handle attachment bracket which are installed around the rod blank using epoxy. The replacement reel seat fits onto the outside diameter of the pole and engages into the reel to transfer forces from the reel to the arm rest. A forearm cup is used to distribute loads across a wider area of the arm. The further distance from the reel, the forces are reduced by virtue of distance from the pivot point. Some adjustment allows for accommodating variation in user preference and arm geometry to minimize fatigue. The handle attachment bracket can be combined with a fore grip so the user can install any style of reel seat and in front of the reel body prior to installing the forearm cup or handle.

Abstract: In order to provide a method for culturing an immunopotentiator-containing organism having the experience of being eaten, inexpensively without requiring usage of a component derived from an animal, Acetobacter, Gluconobacter, Xanthomonas, Zymomonas or Enterobacter which is an edible gram-negative bacterium having an immunopotentiation function is cultured using a culture solution composed mainly of wheat or bean curd refuse. Thereby, Acetobacter can be obtained inexpensively and safely, and also a low molecular weight lipopolysaccharide which is the immunopotentiator can be obtained inexpensively and safely. Furthermore, no impurity derived from animal components is mixed.

Abstract: A fishing rod with a flotation device including a housing in a handle of a fishing rod body or in a tube attached to the fishing rod body. A flotation mechanism in the housing includes a water dissolvable plug within a front end thereof, a flotation body adjacent the plug, a discharge element, which is a spring or an amount of baking soda, adjacent a rear side of the flotation body, and a nylon cord anchored to the rear end and having a forward end attached to the flotation body rear side. Upon dissolution of the plug, the discharge element transforms from a contracted condition into an expanded condition and releases the flotation body from the housing. As the flotation body rises to and floats upon a surface of a body of water, the housing is elevated to make the fishing rod body accessible for retrieval.

Abstract: The illuminating fishing pole involves a kit that when installed provides illumination down the length of the fishing pole and at a distal end. A first illuminating member attaches to the handle portion of the fishing pole via a bracket that clips thereon. The first illuminating member directs light down the length of the fishing pole, and includes wiring that extends therefrom, through the interior of the fishing pole, and down to the second distal end where a second illuminating means is provided. The second illuminating means directs light away from the fishing pole and in the direction of casting a fishing line from said fishing pole. The wiring includes a connector to enable disconnection of the first illuminating means from the fishing pole. The first illuminating means includes a powering means and two on/off switches to control operation of each illuminating means.

Abstract: A tool protects fishing equipment, such as fishing rods and reels, from damage, whether the equipment is in storage or transit. The tool provides the angler with the security that their equipment will be safe. The tool includes a hollow, tubular storage chamber having one open end for inserting an end of a fishing rod therein. The storage chamber may include a buoyant material at a closed end thereof. A flexible strap extends from the open end of the storage chamber to run along the length of the fishing rod. An adjustable loop at the end of the flexible strap is adapted to loop around the reel end of the rod and can be held in place by the reel. One or more straps can be disposed along the flexible strap to secure the flexible strap to the rod. One or more rods may be carried by the tool.

Abstract: An improved spinning reel seat with line cutter is provided, comprising a spinning reel seat having a base, wherein the base includes an upper grip and a mounting receptacle for attaching a line cutter; a line cutter having a mounting portion, wherein the mounting portion is adapted to matingly and detachably engage the mounting receptacle of the base; a slot formed into the line cutter, wherein the slot is adapted to accept a portion of fishing line; and a blade having a cutting edge, wherein the blade is positioned within the slot, and wherein the cutting edge is exposed to cut the fishing line when the fishing line is pressed against the cutting edge.

Abstract: An elastic cushion for enveloping the butt-end of a fishing rod. The cushion includes a unitary body having a cylindrical section at one end and a bulbous section at the opposite end. A central bore extends through the cushion. The central bore tapers from a large adjacent the one end to a second diameter located within the bulbous section to removably retain the rod in the central bore. An exterior surface of the bulbous section has a plurality of separate flutes for enhancing a frictional gripping of the bulbous section of the cushion body with the fisher-person's body and at least one of the flutes transitioning onto an exterior surface of the cylindrical section to enhance the frictional gripping of at least one hand of the fisher-person with the exterior surface of the cylindrical section.

Abstract: An improved line cutter for fishing rods is provided, comprising a reel seat having a base, wherein the base includes a trigger extending from the base. A slot is formed into the trigger, wherein the slot is adapted to accept a portion of fishing line. A blade with a cutting edge is positioned within the slot, and the cutting edge is exposed to cut the fishing line when the fishing line is pressed against the blade. An alternative design is also provided wherein the trigger is removable from the reel seat base. In the removable trigger, the entire trigger and blade assembly may be replaced, or a blade pocket inside the trigger permits retention and replacement of the blade alone.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder device includes a mounting strap having a center portion and spaced apart end portions extending outwards from the center portion. The center portion has an opening extending therethrough. A pivot extends through the opening of the mounting strap, and has a first end adjacent an underside of the mounting strap and a second end adjacent a topside of the mounting strap. A cradle is coupled to the second end of the pivot and configured to receive a fishing rod. The cradle is rotatable with respect to the mounting strap for positioning the fishing rod in a desired direction. A safety strap is coupled to the cradle for securing the fishing rod within the cradle.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a rod and reel leash system wherein a restraint line is attached to the rod and reel that comprises a variable drag which increases as the restraint line is taken from the spool so that the chance of a sudden stop at the end of the line is reduced along with a reduction in the chance of, breaking the fishing line or damaging the rod and reel.

Abstract: An arm support for use with an elongated object such as a fishing rod is disclosed herein. The arm support device includes an arm cradle that mounts above the handle of the elongated object. The arm cradle can be pivoted relative to the handle about a pivot axis that is offset to either the left or right side of the handle.

Abstract: A fish strike signal that can selectively be placed in a storage position, a ready position or a deployed position. The signal has a main body with a storage ledge, a retainer and a pocket. A trigger is provided having a notch for engaging a segment of fishing line and having a kick-out post for deploying a signal. The kick-out post can be held with a pocket in the ready position. Rotation of the trigger caused by a strike forces the post from the pocket and causes the wire of the signal to clear a retainer on the side of the main body. A tension assembly is provided for adjusting the amount of force that is required to rotate the trigger. The post and a ledge holds the signal in place and the tensioner can be used to lock the signal in the storage position.

Abstract: A fishing rod enables viewing of pole bending activity in daylight and at nighttime. The rod has a light-transmitting pole for supporting a fishing line and having a handle end and a tip end. A collimated beam producing unit is located towards the handle end aligned to transmit a collimated beam into the interior of the pole in a direction towards the tip end. A reflector at the tip end reflects light back towards the handle end after exiting the tip end.

Abstract: A fishing line cutter that is integral to a fishing pole. The fishing line cutter comprises a tubular section with an arcuate projection. The arcuate projection may extend from a same side as a reel mounted on the fishing pole. A spring means may springingly attach the arcuate projection to a slot. The slot can accommodate the arcuate projection upon depression into the fishing pole. An O-ring may be employed to slide along the fishing pole and facilitate depression of the arcuate projection. At least one sharpening means may be included in the fishing line cutter to maintain sharpness.

Abstract: An elongated vibration generating device with a self contained vibration generating mechanism having its own power source including a battery driven motor, and eccentric weight and means to vary the vibration that can be easily attached to an ordinary fishing rod having a reel and line mounted thereon to cause the fishing rod shaft to vibrate in a manner to cause a bait or lure attached to the line to vibrate in a selective manner to attract fish.

Abstract: The invention relates to a casting fishing rod including a reel on which is wound some fishing line. The reel includes a fishing line braking system which can be positioned in a line braking or non-braking position. A pusher element is configured, in a first position, to activate the braking system in the braking position and, in a second position, to allow the braking system to return to the non-braking position. A stop system is configured, in a position of engagement, to hold the pusher element in the first position and, in a position of disengagement, to release the pusher element and allow it to return to the second position. An inertia flyweight is attached to a flexible wire element arranged between the stop system and the rod, the inertia of the flyweight allowing movement of the stop system into the position of disengagement.

Abstract: In a fishing rod having a hand grip and a reel clamped to and held above the rod, the improvement wherein there is provided between the rod and the clamp on the underside of the rod a unitary piece having an elongate central section free of lateral protuberances which is laterally curved to essentially match the curvature of the fishing rod, aligned with the elongate central section at one end and integral therewith a curved finger grip terminating in a free distal end, and also aligned with the elongate central section at its opposite end and integral therewith a projection having an opening therein adapted to receive the hook portion of fishing hook.

Abstract: A fishing pole has a hollow handle and a hollow rod with their interior chambers in communication with each other. The hollow handle can receive an independent light source and also houses a concave reflector. The hollow rod contains a plastic optical fiber which extends along the length of the hollow rod and extends into the hollow handle through the concave reflector. The hollow rod has at least some portions that are translucent. The plastic optical fiber is scuffed on its end where it protrudes through the concave reflector and also in sections within the hollow rod. An independent light source inserted into the hollow handle is directed toward the concave reflector and light is directed into the plastic optical fiber, transmitted to the hollow rod, and diffused out into the hollow rod and then outside. The plastic optical fiber also rattles when the rod is moved.

Abstract: The fishing lure float has long been available as an indicating device to alert fishermen of the presence of nibbling or striking fish The claims presented herein, advance the original fishing lure float beyond its former, limited role as an indicator. The Radio Controlled Fish Finding Lure Float combines recasting, trolling, and fish finding capability into one unit, while keeping the water and the environment as undisturbed as possible, all at an affordable price. More advanced releases of this technology allows for the detection of a force hitting the end of the lead line. This device consists of a fastener with automatic extender, floatation device, water splash shield, and specialized water-soluble material which deteriorates upon submersion in water. Device is particularly created to facilitate the needs of fishermen but not limited to only fishing rods or fishermen. This device can be attached to other items where the same end result can be achieved.

Abstract: An apparatus for carrying multiple fishing poles includes a connecting rod with a first end and a distal second end and a first supporting member affixed to the first end of the connecting rod and a second supporting member affixed to the distal end of the connecting rod. A plurality of recesses is in the supporting members, each of the recesses sized to accept one of the fishing poles. A cloth strap is affixed individually to one end of each supporting member and adapted to removably cover the outer circumference of the given supporting member, thereby removably holding the fishing poles within the recesses of each supporting member.

Abstract: A fishing tackle for stowage of a fishing line is adapted to be mounted to a fishing rod. The fishing tackle includes a bracket having a holding portion for abutting against the fishing rod, a guide rod having a distal end fastened to the bracket, a spool around which the fishing line is windable and which is rotatably mounted to the guide rod, and a retainer pivotally connected to the bracket. The retainer has a retaining portion for pushing the fishing rod to be firmly urged against the holding portion of the bracket such that the fishing tackle can be mounted to the fishing rod by holding the fishing rod between the holding portion of the bracket and the retaining portion of the retainer.

Abstract: A fishing line spool support, line guide mechanism, and kit incorporating the same enables users thereof to transfer line from a spool assembly to a reel assembly. The spool support comprises a spool-bearing portion and opposed rails extending in parallel relation to one another away from the spool-bearing portion. A line guide mechanism rides along the rails and comprises spool interfacing structures borne by a carriage member of the mechanism for interfacing with the opposed rims of a spool as borne by the spool support. Together the carriage member and interface units provide line-guiding stop structure for preventing or minimizing line migration during line transfer.

Abstract: An arm support for use with an elongated item such as a fishing rod is disclosed herein. The arm support device includes an arm cradle that mounts above a handle of the elongated item. The arm cradle is adapted for supporting a person's forearm. The arm cradle can be pivoted relative to the handle to allow the arm cradle to stay in contact with the person's forearm as the person bends his or her wrist to change the lateral angle defined between the person's forearm and the elongated item.

Abstract: The measuring rod is a measuring system applied graphically to the shaft of an existing fishing rod blank, in U.S. standard inches or alternatively metrics. that allows the fisherman to measure the length of his catch. The measuring system starts at the base of the fishing rod above the handle and goes up to four feet of the length of the fishing rod shaft. The measuring system has numerical indicators at every six inch interval.

Abstract: A fishing rod includes a real fish skin adornment surrounding at least a portion of the fishing rod blank. The fish skin can be any fish skin and is made pliable so that it can be wrapped around the blank. The skin is then adhered to the blank using a clear coating so that the skin is protected from the elements but still visible to enhance the look of the fishing rod.
