Spinner Rotatably Mounted On Shaft Patents (Class 43/42.19)
  • Patent number: 6591543
Abstract: A propeller 33 is disposed on a bearing collar 42 to rotate about a shaft 10 of a lure 32. The propeller has a plurality of blades 36, each having a proximal portion 37 with a first degree of pitch and a distal portion 38 having a second degree of pitch which is different than said first degree of pitch. The blades may have distal ends which have the same direction of pitch as the proximal ends, or distal ends which have pitch opposite to that of the proximal ends. The blades may have straight bends or curved bends between the proximal and distal portions, and each blade may comprise a single, smoothly curvilinear surface. The blades may have one or more holes of various sizes in one or more blades of each propeller, either in the distal portion or the proximal portion of the blades. One or more propellers may be mounted on buzz baits, top water lures including plugs, and on other lures.

Abstract: An anti-trash buzz blade includes a blade body having a central axle slot wherein an axle arm of a fishing lure is rotatably inserted into the axle slot of the blade body, a locking member, which is affixed to a rear end of the axle arm, for rotatably locking the blade body on the axle arm, and a protective cap rearwardly extended from the blade body wherein the protective cap is arranged in such a manner that when the fishing lure is pull and drive the blade body to rotate, the locking member is received in the protective cap. Therefore, the protective cap is capable of preventing trashes from being caught by the locking member while the anti-trash buzz blade is incorporating with the fishing lure.

  • Publication number: 20020050089
Abstract: A fishing lure with a modified ammunition cartridge case as the main body is provided. The empty cartridge case is modified by removing the primer cap and drilling one or a plurality of holes in the body of the case, for the purpose of scent distribution. Scent producing material is placed in the interior of the cartridge case and as the lure is pulled through the water a superior scent trail is spread behind the lure, caused by water washing through the case. The modified case provides a better method of both retaining the scented material and distributing the scent in a controlled manner. Preferably a single or treble hook and spinner blades or other decorative devises are attached by means of a wire connector passing through the shell casing to facilitate connection of all related parts.

  • Patent number: 6176035
Abstract: A fishing lure with three housing sections, a front housing section and a rear housing section, each with spiral fins or propellers that cause them to rotate in opposite directions when the lure is pulled through the water, and a middle housing section to which a fish hook can be attached. A selected housing section contains a compartment into which small metal spheres can be inserted, both to add weight to the lure and to make noise to attract fish. The rear housing section has a compartment for scent, in the form of pellets and has a plurality of apertures through which the scent can diffuse through the surrounding water to attract fish.
