Transparent Director Surrounding Wick Support Or Guide Patents (Class 431/311)
  • Patent number: 8702419
Abstract: An automatic candle blower having a main housing with a base and a back member. The back member has a plurality of vent holes therethrough, each of the vent holes providing an air flow path from the interior of the main housing. A candle support surface is formed adjacent to the back member to support a candle. A blower is positioned to direct air to the vent holes. An air channel is formed within the main housing between the blower and the vent holes. An alternative embodiment of the invention further includes a control circuit, which has a processor, a timer, and a processor-readable medium, is electrically connected to the blower. A user input device is electrically connected to the control circuit.

  • Patent number: 5087195
Abstract: A combustion cylinder structure for an oil burner capable of stably carrying out minimum combustion as well as controlling the combustion operation over a wide range. The structure is so constructed that a lower heat-impermeable cylinder of an outermost cylinder construction of a multi-cylinder combustion assembly is provided at the upper end thereof with an inward collar, which is provided at the inner end thereof a cylindrical section for rectifying air introduced through a gap between the cylindrical section and an outer cylindrical member to guide it along the cylindrical member. Also, the collar is provided with through-holes, which are arranged in the circumferential direction to guide air along a heat-impermeable cylinder arranged on the heat-impermeable cylinder, resulting in preventing the generation of a turbulent flow between the outer cylindrical member and the heat-permeable cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4904181
Abstract: The present invention relates to a combustion equipment to be employed for heating in domestic use or the like. The combustion equipment is provided with an air control cylinder having a closed bottom surface inwards of an inner flame cylinder, and an outer control cylinder inwards of a vaporizing portion, and accordingly, radical deterioration of the CO/CO.sub.2 characteristic can be prevented. Furthermore, the air control cylinder is divided into plural stages one above the other and has a through aperture in the lowermost stage connecting said lowermost stage with an inner air path, and at the same time, the outer control cylinder is formed with through holes. Therefore, the combustion equipment of the present invention has a large range of adjustment the combustion volume, and is safe and comfortable in use.

  • Patent number: 4850855
Abstract: A combustion cylinder structure for an oil burner capable of uniformly red-heating an upper portion of upper and lower cylindrical members as well as the remaining part of the members and exhibiting good aesthetic characteristics during combustion operation. The outer cylindrical member is arranged so as to terminate at an upper end thereof below upper ends of the inner cylindrical member and a heat-permeable cylinder and a dish-like inner top plate is formed into a diameter large sufficiently to cause its outer peripheral end to outwardly extend from the inner cylindrical member to the position above the space. Also, the inner cylindrical member is formed at its upper portion opposite to the inner top plate with the vent holes. Also, the inner cylindrical member is formed at its upper portion opposite to the inner top plate with the vent holes.

  • Patent number: 4384847
Abstract: A fire bowl having a bowl-like container (6; 50; 72; 92) filled with a fuel like oil, and a rotary body (7; 57; 74; 95) rotatably supported above said fuel (8; 54), a plurality of non-consumable wicks being held on said rotary body, said wicks being partly immersed into said fuel and the upper ends thereof being situated within or beneath a shell (39; 52; 93) of translucent material which is open at its upper and lower ends. The rotary body can have apertures for the wicks, and for each wick (34) a separate shell (39) can be provided. The shells rest on said rotary body. In the upper side of said rotary body or in said container at least one aperture (41; 94; 96) for admitting air is provided. Preferably, said wicks being arranged in wick holders (33; 75) attached to the lower side of said rotary body.

  • Patent number: 4134718
Abstract: A device capable of burning household vegetable oil and producing a candle-like flame is disclosed. It includes a heat-resistant upright glass tube within which a fibrous wick is positioned, extending a short distance out the top. For supporting the tube and wick in a generally flat-bottomed container, such as a small drinking glass, a foot or stand having horizontally-extending projections and an upright sleeve may be connected to the bottom of the tube by insertion of the tube end in the sleeve. When the assembled tube, wick and foot are placed in a container and vegetable oil is added, at least to the level of the bottom of the wick, the extending portion of the wick may be ignited to produce a candle-like flame. The container is preferably transparent so that light is radiated in all directions, and a special container may be provided for seating atop a light-transmitting rod, so that light from the flame illuminates the rod.

  • Patent number: 4025280
Abstract: A lamp burning a vaporizable oil produces both a steady light and a regularly recurring bright flash. The lamp has a non-combustible wick in a cooled metal tubular wick holder, the upper part of the wick holder being surrounded by an open-topped combustion chamber which extends inwardly towards a pilot flame on the wick. Heating of the combustion chamber induces air flow causing an explosive mixture to form in the chamber; this is ignited by the pilot flame to give a bright flash.
