Workpiece Supporting Means Between Adjustable Stop And Pivot Patents (Class 433/67)
  • Patent number: 11638837
Abstract: Apparatus for improving image guidance in radiation therapy applications are described. In one aspect, a patient support with integrated radiopaque markers is described. In another aspect, a bite block with integrated sensors, radiopaque markers, or both, is described. The integrated sensors may include a radiation detector, a pH sensor, or both. Radiation detectors that may be used include a dosimeter. As an example, the dosimeter may include a film dosimeter, an ion chamber dosimeter, a diode dosimeter, or other suitable dosimeters and combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 8382686
Abstract: An apparatus for use in dentistry to obtain positional data related to movement of a mandible about a maxilla comprises a rigid support frame for supporting a maxilla support member, a positionable mandibular member and sensing assemblies. The support member fixedly attaches to the support frame. The mandibular member is positionable proximate the maxilla member. The sensing assemblies attach to the support frame and connect to the mandibular member to obtain positional data related to the movement of the mandibular member. The positional data is collected by a computing device and stored in a data storage medium as time history files. The files can then be transformed into usable information to replicate the mandibular movement in real time either virtually or mechanically.

  • Patent number: 4189837
Abstract: A dental jaw simulator is provided for duplicating human jaw movements and, in particular, the movement of the lower human jaw. The simulator includes a support frame and an upper jaw member pivotally mounted on the support frame and which is adapted to receive an upper dental arch cast. A lower jaw member is also mounted on the support frame and is adapted to receive a lower dental arch cast. Movement of the lower jaw member in protrusive and retrusive directions and in a lateral direction is controlled by a ball and slot hinge arrangement in combination with a movable anterior platform mounted on the support frame and a forward pin connected to the lower jaw member and which engages and is movable relative to the anterior platform. The anterior platform is provided with sloping planes on which the forward pin moves to guide the lower jaw member in order to duplicate the dropping of the lower human jaw during lateral movement.
